  1. This the feature's functionality has not been changed afaik. I just tried it at my test forum and it works. What is your forum url?
  2. You can have only one primary group per member.
  3. You can decide through the Admin Permissions what area of the Admin Panel you want to give access to other co admins or staff members btw.
  4. If you already have another script instaleld in the root of your server, you can not move Ipb in the root as well. What you described can be done by renaming the community folder to forums. Like that it will show as domain.com/forums. What php script are you using as homepage btw?
  5. Have a look a this guide here. I have not had a chance to study and test it yet, but it says in the title about changing the date format.
  6. The application has been updating by way of adding a global ignore list a.k.a. Techy Goes to Coventry.
  7. You are very welcome. I am glad to have been of help.
  8. I do not understand what the issue is with your forum 's front page. It looks fine to me.
  9. I am very happy to say that I managed to fix the errors and get the forum backup and running error free.
  10. @Majbritt_mergedcontacted me and I am taking another look now. The forum in question belongs to an older version of Ipb and it is not compatible with the php version in her server. There is also a mysql issue as well. I am working on fixing those issues now.
  11. The way I see it is that you give permissions to view the navbar link only to the groups that are allowed to view the forum.
  12. Hi. I think that you can do that with the Menu Manager inside your Admin Panel. You can enter the url to your forum when adding an item there and set the permissions as which group can see it. Hope it helps.
  13. @DawPi is very familiar with Ipb, knows it inside out, and he is very professional and helpful. I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs custom work done to their forum.
  14. I do not think that 6 months is that long for a major release. And it will be worth the wait imo.
  15. I think that is because of the great features that have been added in 4.5. That is why some people are getting impatient imo.
  16. You are very welcome. I looked at your error log file and I saw this error message: The server requested authentication method unknown to the client. This seems to be a mysql compatiblity issue. Most likely your host is using Mysql 8.0.4. Default authenticate of MySQL 8.0.4 has changed. Please see this link: https://dev.mysql.com/doc/relnotes/mysql/8.0/en/news-8-0-4.html You must contact your host to fix this.
  17. Can you try to get the exact error message? That will help a lot as it will show us where to look for a solution. I can help you with this. Send me a private message if you want my help. What version of Ipb are you using by the way?
  18. I think that it is best to create a plugin to handle the deletion of all members rather than doing it with a sql query. Posts and topics will remain in the database.
  19. If it is happening only for those apps, I would say that this is application/plugin-related. I can not be a bug with the software.
  20. If the content is hard deleted, meaning it can not be found in the database, it can not be reassigned. If posts were still in the database, but their author has been deleted, they can be reasigned to another member with a few sql queries. That is what I meant. To answer your other question, personally I will not do such a thing (getting the deleted posts from a backup of the database, and copy their data rows into the forums_posts table and forums_topics tables). It is not that simple imo, because more tables are involved than those 2 that you mentioned.
  21. Did you even post there at all? The chances are bigger that you might gett better help in that app's support topic, either from its developer and/or one of the other members who is using it.
  22. I do not use that application so I can not be of any help to the OP. But I see that it has a support topic where all members that are using it can get support.
  23. Is that added by a plugin or application?
