    Keeping your forum up to date with the latest version is the best practice imho. The majour benefits are that all known bugs have been fixed, and if any security issue has been discovered in the previous version(s), it is fixed too. If you are upgrading to a major version, for example from 4.4. to 4.5., you will also enjoy the many great new options that have been added as well as the new very beautiful default theme.

    The app has been upgraded to work with 4.5. The error posted above has been fixed too.

    The 4.5. version revolutionised the forum world imo. It is the best. They really did a wonderful job.

    It works with ips regardless where the connection comes from. You can exclude ip(s) as well from the restriction if there is any vpn connection that you want to make an exception.

    Yes, it is safe. However, make a backup of your database before the conversion.

    Can you double check that those files mentioned in the red message are indeed present in your forum folder? What Ftp program did you use to upload the files for the upgrade, FileZilla?

    I ask because Filezilla is known for missing files during the upload process. Try another ftp program and see if the errors will go away after the reupload.
