Thanks for your reply. I was hoping for an easy way out but it appears the only way to do it right is is replace the linked images with uploaded attachments. I appreciate all the comments I've received.

You are probably thinking of the image proxy function. That was indeed removed. It only served a temporary purpose to not brake the page with non-SSL images by importing them into the system.
You could copy the old HTML into the new posts and either do some find&replace each time or import it all, move the images and then do some UPDATE MySQL queries to correct the links.
Personally, I would probably go the long way – and have done that several times while moving my content across multiple forums systems. Linked images aren’t really proper images in the IPS suite. Only “attachments” are. And therefore they are future proof. You could change your storage location and they will be moved automatically. You could switch to cloud and it will continue to work. You can change settings and the images will be recalculated … So, it might be worth it to import each image manually.

April's update corrected the problem for me. Thank you!

The only time the problem with photos turned sideways is reported is when they are uploaded from a cellphone. I'm use InMotion hosting and I'm on one of their newer servers.
The AACA forum uses IPS software and is hosted on an IPS server. It has this problem with sideways photos too. I don't believe it is a server problem.

I'm having the same problem using android or iPhone on my site with photos getting turned sideways. No problem when uploading photos from my PC. Hope something gets figured out to correct this.

Tennman got a reaction from Interferon in Global Rename of Clubs to Groups in ACP
I think it t would be useful if version 4.5 would have an easy way to rename Clubs to Groups by just moving a slider or ticking a box in the ACP instead of manually editing each instance where Club(s) is found in the language file. Would anyone like to see that?
I've not used clubs with success in my community because members don't seem to get clubs because they are use to groups on FB.

You can do this but you need to make the translations you're referring to, and if you'd like the URL to change, edit the clubs friendly URLs in ACP > Settings > Advanced Configuration > Friendly URLs.

@Paul E.
Thank you! The plugin works as described. It was just what I needed on my forum. Saved me from editing a template file. Good job!

It's 2020, take as many as you can.

I don't think it's been approved yet. I suppose the link will work if/when it's approved.

I have posted a free plugin in the Marketplace that does this earlier today. First time submitting something to Marketplace, and it is awaiting approval as far as I can tell.

Tennman reacted to WP V0RT3X in How to get the "edit" link back
Try template forums -> topics -> post and insert
{{if $comment->canEdit()}} {{if $comment->mapped('first') and $comment->item()->canEdit()}} <li class='ipsButton_verySmall'><a href='{$comment->item()->url()->setQueryString( 'do', 'edit' )}'>{lang="edit"}</a></li> {{else}} <li class='ipsButton_verySmall'><a href='{$comment->url('edit')}' data-action='editComment'>{lang="edit"}</a></li> {{endif}} {{endif}} before this
<li class='ipsHide' data-role='commentLoading'> <span class='ipsLoading ipsLoading_tiny ipsLoading_noAnim'></span> </li>

Tennman got a reaction from WP V0RT3X in How to get the "edit" link back
Upgraded to version 4.5.
I would like to put the "edit" link back next to the "quote" link at the bottom of posts. My forum members aren't smart enough to click the 3 dots to find it in the menu no matter how many times I tell them. Is there an option in the ACP for restoring the edit link or some other way easily doing it? Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry if this has been asked a dozen times already. I can't seem to find any information on it.
