They can also hover over the time string and get the actual date and time of the post. Not helpful on mobile but an option. 

I personally would like an option an option to show the actual date on an article as opposed to the 'today/yesterday' especially with CMS articles.

I would also like the DATETIME functions to be able to display dates before the year 1900 rather than having to use a Textbox for dates.

Hi guys thanks for the input on this... I will release a new version shortly which will allow you to remove the overlay via a setting so you don't have to fiddle about with CSS styles.

Use a free CDN service such as Cloudflare, configure it and that should take care of most of your issues which are not image related..

For defer parsing of Javascript. Login into your ACP, go to your default theme and under Custom, change JavaScript include location to Just before body tag.

Just a heads up on the next update.

I will remove the ' transliterator_transliterate' functions of the plugin in the next version and stick with PHP mb_ functions.

Please Note this version has been converted from a Plug-in to a Application.

If you have previously installed the plugin version, do NOT uninstall the plugin until you have installed the Application version first or you will lose your previous settings. I have created a upgrade script, but it seems to be a hit and miss whether or not it will work. You may have to manually port over your plugin settings afterwards.

• Changed: Converted the plugin version to an Application. This will give me much more control over future additions which I have planned for this Application.
• Changed: The Settings form is now split into 5 different tabs to make it easier to work with.
• Added:  StopShouting will now handle core applications such as CMS and Calendar Events. I do not have 'Gallery' or 'Blogs' so I cannot test these on my install.
• Added: The ability to disable or override CMS's built in formatting functions. This is to prevent StopShouting's titles being overwritten by CMS text formatting and to save some CPU cycles. If you want a field to be formatted, you must SELECT it in CMS using the 'Apply Text Formatter' in the field Settings. The formatting Options will be ignored while handled by StopShouting. CMS titles will be handled automatically regardless of these settings.
• Changed: Optimised the code to reduce overhead and speed things up a little more.
• Fixed: Titles with certain punctuation characters were not handled correctly and the words afterwards would not be capitalised correctly.
• Fixed: Exceptions 'words' function was not working as expected. I have finally managed to fix this issues.

That summarizes my feelings on clubs.  I investigated clubs three times in the past and last night I officially converted my group from Group Collaboration over to IP.Clubs, and I'm still deeply unhappy.  I feel like I went from driving a top-of-the-line Mercedes to a Kia.  The only thing going for the Kia is that it's company-insured to always be supported.  

This is an incredibly sensitive topic to me, because the reputation and features of my community are now critiqued by a third-party Club Leader who has entrusted me to move his 12-year group over to my community.  

I don't even know where to begin:

• No homepage - Your dinky little text box doesn't cut it.  My Club Leader understands the concept of a homepage, wants a homepage, and deserves a homepage.  A homepage with full ckeditor capabilities with image attachments, bold, colors and all the other wild and outrageous formatting that he wants.  He wants it more than an Activity Stream, which we can't customize anyways.
• Follow - no club-wide follow.  These external members have no bloody clue what your features are, and asking them to follow each node is ridiculous.  Getting them through a two-step process to register on my community and then join the club is already a huge ask.  But once they join the club, they don't get notified on any of the content even though that's the whole reason why they joined.  Once a member joins a club, they should auto-follow the club.  
• Members
  • No custom moderator permissions.  I have no idea what moderator permissions were just given to the moderator.   
  • No member outreach.  How does my club owner actually message or mail his members to market outside of his club?  
• Nodes - no reordering, which means you're screwed on ordering.
• Nodes - no categories within nodes, which is a major pain point for me.  I had to convince my Club Leader to reduce 70+ categories into 3.   He had detailed categories for each letter of the album A-Z, and now all albums are mixed together in 39 pages of albums.  Content is king, and the inability to organize and categorize within nodes is a huge pain point.  
• Conversion - no conversion of existing nodes.  I have no idea how IPS expected me to manually move 49,700 content items into clubs.  Content is king, and clubs is not easy to transfer content in / out.  
• Delete and Move/Delete - In the ACP > Community app nodes, club nodes are not an option when using Delete or Move / Delete. 
• Node Settings - I, as root admin, don't have full node control over settings or permissions.  For example, in galleries I can't enable "only use albums".  I have no idea how or where these nodes are inheriting certain settings that are beyond even my control as a root admin, and that's a big problem.  

I am asking a Club Leader to trust me to move his content, his members, and his loyalty over to me, yet these are the real challenges that I'm facing: his members aren't notified of new content; his members can't find content in 39 pages of albums; and his moderator and members can do whatever with whatever permissions they want because I can't control user, moderator, or node permissions.

The whole reasons you have mentioned are why we removed it from our forum.

It is half finished and undercooked and needs a lot more work which an expensive plugin from the market cannot fix.

The current method means that the JavaScript code and CSS styles get loaded each time regardless if there are Featured Blocks on the page or not.

Would it be possible that you could add 'default moderator options' to the submit screen? Such as:

• lock topic, pin topic, hide topic after posting.
• Unlock and Lock Times
• Post Date option (I would like the ability to back date videos and there is no way to do this because there is no Post Date Option)

Also, instead of just outputting ' Problem generating embed code.' because the video isn't available, can there be a default template that when clicked takes you to the video on Youtube?

Quick note

Just updated the plugin to version 1.05. This version features:

1. Fixed: The plugin was not saving the values for the Forum ID's.  (JCSnider)
2. Added: Display Club Forum posts with Forum posts, (JCSnider)
3. Added: Display Club Forum posts only.
4. Added: Can now hide Topic Prefixes from displaying in the block.
5. Changed: Updated the template to reflect 4.3 changes.
6. Fixed: Other minor issues.

If you have installed this plugin and it does not show in the Block Menu, can you please contact IPB Support over this matter or PM with your server specs. I have tried to replicate this behaviour on numerous installs and never come across this problem. I can't fix what if I cannot replicate it.

I only want to hand my members a receipt/invoice on payment, I was looking through that list wondering if there was an issue with the Payment, Payment gate way or why my members were getting invoices. It wasn't until I started looking into this I noticed that there was an invoice created when I was on the Payment Page and had not actually paid.

I personally would like if I could turn this off, as I do not like collecting information about people unless I really have too.

I understand what you are saying, but I use this for my members to donate and purchase a Gold Membership, it is not a hard sell issue on my part and I would defiantly not be looking to follow this up in anyway.

I have noticed that invoices are being created when a user clicks on the checkout page, even if they do not complete the transaction. Is there anyway to stop an invoice being created unless they actually make a payment and complete the transaction?

You are misunderstanding me. If I open another tab in my browser and browse to the ACP, I am prompted to sign in and I am logged out of the the session.

Can you tell me if you can place Blocks independently on the Category List, Featured Records, Record Listing and Record Display? Or are the Blocks just placed into the Category regardless if they are Category List, Featured Records, Record Listing or not?

I am also going to assume that if I place a block in Database 2, the block will only display in that Database and none of the others?

I have a put a limit on how many blocks can be added in a row. blocks can not be reordered if the row container is full.

 

Here is a simple solution. if your row is full and you want to reorder the blocks, take one of the blocks out by drag and doping into another row and then move it back. you will be able to reorder now. sometimes a page refresh is required if you cant move the block outside.

To me, the problem is totally fine because the solution is a simple drag and drop task ?

Nvm, I found how I can change this ?

Found a bug or issue.

If you create a block row, then create a copy of the original row (a couple of duplicates) and then add new blocks to the original container, you cannot reorder the blocks within that container (Block Row).

If you move a block to another block row, it will move, but you cannot move it back to its original container.

I had to delete all the blocks and their containers and start again, but not creating a duplicate (copy) of the block container, and it worked as expected.

Yeah I was too quick to hit the post button on this matter, I realised this afterwards. I also had to change the hook to be displayed before the footer and not after the body, as I have other plugins which need to be displayed before this one.

I really like they changes you have done recently, makes it much easier 'things' they way I want. Cheers.

Would it be possible that you could add another option for the Position Configuration? The ability to show Outside the main body layout but contained (using the ipsLayout_container css style).
