Probably one way to think of using Clubs is to bring in some kind of experimentation of content. Instead of adding a new category to your forums, use the Club feature. We have to start thinking of different ways of siloing content, changing things as a way to (not sure if the best phrase) imitate social media to sway members to return to forums.

That would really be a case of community management. 

updaterecords is set for every 10 minutes but has not run since midnight early this morning. Just hit the run now button and the post got pushed publicly. Looks like will need to setup cron job as right now the site doesn't get much traffic to trigger these tasks yet.

Setting cron up would indeed be advisable in that scenario

Are your tasks running properly? Scheduled entries are  published by a task that runs every 15 (?) minutes if I remember correctly.

Go to your ACP and navigate to Themes and click on the "Edit HTML and CSS" option as shown below:

Navigate to:
core/front/global/globalTemplate
Append the following just above </body> which is located at the very bottom:
      <a rel="me" href="https://Your Mastodon Server Name/@UserName"></a>
    </body>
</html>
This will place a hidden rel="me" on the front page of your site that your server should see and validate you.

"If" you include the underlined "Mastodon" as shown above you will get a clickable link shown up on your webpage which probably is not ideal which is why I did not include it.  You could also place the rel="me" code on other pages you might have on your site but you need to include the page in your profile such as shown below:
https://mysite.com/aboutme.html
Your profile will show your website as being validated but with the page appended to the website.
Depending on your server it could take anywhere from a few seconds for your domain to be validated to several hours.

Is it possible for IPS to support embeds and sharelinks for Mastodon as it does with Twitter?
I've seen people using sharelinks to Masterdon on their non-IPS sites.

Currently running a Wordpress site for our podcast that creates the rss feed for iTunes to pick up. The actual mp3's are hosting through a podcasting host so I won't be changing that. What I would like to find out if IPB can be capable to take over for the rss feed creation for podcasts? If not I would just keep the Wordpress and have IPB be the community aspect. Eventually I'm wanting to have everything under IPB and have different podcast shows set up as clubs within IPB.

The other account can be another account created by the same member or one account created by admin, as a "one person moderator", whatever. If I link to the Jonh Doe's account and my group has permission to post as a linked account, then I can post as John Doe.
To link to any account, you need to know the credentials: login and password. So you aren't able to go linking to anyone else you want.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Pre-made templates are something we'd like to do. We'd also like to release our own work we've done here for examples to use. 
You may find the improvements being made to Pages in a soon-ish release to be of more help to you. Finally, we have a number of tutorials done and on the way that are being reviewed internally. Hopefully all of these combined will maximize the benefit of the product to you.
