Is there a tool (utility) that checks the correctness of the rights to files/directories?

The install/upgrade utility will do a cursory check over your system. It also is available in ACP -> Support.

Doesn't really help as the suggestions in there seem to be for new accounts, which I already have on mod queue and no new members have actually made this spam posts, its been current members

You will want to read through the whole topic, as it discusses how spammers are logging into accounts which have had credentials compromised through other sites and posting spam on yours. Enabling Two Factor Authentication is the best way to combat this for the future. You may also wish to use the force password reset function, which is also discussed in that topic, on all members if you see this happening a ton.

I guess the custom buttons are for specific purposes (Eg: Stock Replies) and it would be ideal to use built-in functionality instead of cooking our own. CK Editor has most of the buttons that can be provided in the ACP which can be exposed by admins.

Custom buttons allow you to create what you want, like a button for a horizontal line. Stock replies are completely separate feature. You can also install CKEditor plugins.

Not everyone can have the ability to edit HTML except admins may be temporarily due to security reasons.

HR should be a toolbar item

This is the purpose of the custom button 😉. You set it up in HTML but your users just click the button in the toolbar to evaluate it.

is it possible to rename the index file (so that it is no longer found by attacks), for example index2.php, but still make the site work? what should I change?

It would take some server configuration and potentially break areas of the site plus be outside our scope of support. I wouldn't recommend it because it's a decent amount of work for a short-lived breath of freedom as the attackers will find it again.

The best solution would be to simply block the incoming attackers at the network/server level via a firewall or advanced WAF.

Now its affected Firefox, cant access my site, all history etc removed

Could you please try clearing your cookies for your domain and seeing if that improves?

I have and I'm still getting the same issues as are many others trying to access my site

Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this but thank you for reporting. We will try a few things on our end to see if this is still happening in specific areas.

I am writing from mobile. Your community invisioncommunity.com is not accessable from my desktop chrome right now. The same error, redirecting to admin/install.

    No issues with incognito mode.

This is evident of a caching error, as detailed above. Could you please try clearing your cache and cookies?

this issue only started happening for me this morning GMT

i've cleared all browser caches and I'm still getting issues, on brave for instance the front page of my site works but clicking any link take me to the admin install page

Please ensure you are clearing your whole browser cache for your domain. Not just a keyboard shortcut to do so for 1 page.

  9. Sorry for the inconvenience, the issues should be resolved as of 4pm EST yesterday. However, if you're still encountering getting installation pages, please clear your browser's cache as it may be inadvertently storing it.

  10. You will want to check email errors from your email service in ACP -> System -> Email Settings.

If there are no errors, we would require access to provide further assistance:

We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.

We look forward to further assisting you.

I have written directly to the sales email but have not received a response. Somebody could help me?

Apologies, our sales department is a little backed up at the moment. Looks like someone responded to your initial concerns though.

    1. What exactly do I get with the Classic version? It indicates it on the pricing page but it seems like very little information to me. Do you have detailed specifications indicating limitations?

Classic is all our applications, hosted on your own machine. Classic does not include Courses, our "live" feature items, video encoding, and some other features which are cloud only at this time.

    2. I understand that we are currently running version 4. If I purchase the classic license right now, will I be able to upgrade to version 5 for free or will I have to renew again?

You would need to have an active license but you will gain access to version 5, at this time.

43 minutes ago, Myke Pro said:

    3. Do you plan to launch Courses in the Classic version? For new forums on a budget, it is almost impossible to purchase a $149 per month plan and be able to use the updated courses.

It is Cloud only at this time. There are no plans to change this.

    4. If I buy the classic version, do I have to renew my license to update the software whenever I want or do I have any limits?

To gain access to software upgrades, support, the spam defense system, GEO IP address, etc... requires an active license.

    5. Are Clubs included in the classic license?

Yes, that is a Core feature.

For those that have used live topics, what is the benefit other than it automatically creates a forum and keeps the chat history?

I will let actual users state their experiences and benefits. However, the idea of the live topic is that you can have your live event with people asking questions, leaving comments, etc... Then have it transferred to a forum topic, have everyone see those questions/comments/etc... that happened live and continue right along without missing a beat.

We use it in our monthly webinars about releases and upcoming items. It's been pretty successful in that right to see comments build from live to recorded webinar.

Does it make sense for us to find another solution to make live streaming work?

We use Zoom which casts live to YouTube, if that helps any.
