  1. You're very welcome 🙂 . Glad we could be of assistance.
  2. I'm afraid, only the default browser on the device is currently supported. For Android, this would be Chrome. I would suggest using Chrome and letting us know if you still have issues.
  3. The best and only option is to upgrade to latest to resolve the bug here 🙂.
  4. So the system logs there are a separate issue but I am going to need to transfer this to a ticket to further investigate why that page is not loading correctly. Please check your email for next steps.
  5. You're very welcome. Just MySQL 5.6 or higher right now is our baseline. Everything can be seen here in our compatibility checker: http://www.invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-get-ready-for-ips-40/
  6. ACP for now.
  7. We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section. We look forward to further assisting you.
  8. There is not a maintenance mode. You can take it offline for all but your staff using ACP -> System -> General Configuration -> Site Online.
  9. I'm happy to take a peek at what may be tripping you up but would need access to do so: We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section. 10. Correct me if I am wrong but what I believe you're getting at there is that the Invision Community release you're on is not compatible with PHP 8. However, Invision Community 4.6 supports PHP 8 so what you are seeing is an issue with your third party application, plugin or theme which is installed. You would likely need to reach out to the author to get this resolved, if they do not have a compatible release available. You can then upgrade directly to the latest release of Invision Community.
  11. Sorry, we only provide the latest release. However, I am a little confused on why you would need 4.7.3 as it sounds like you want to upgrade to PHP 8, is that correct? If so, you can just switch to PHP 8 and perform a manual upgrade. Here's information about doing a manual upgrade:
  12. You will need to perform a manual upgrade to the latest release so that you can get your community back up and running. You can read how to do that here:
  13. You may wish to go to ACP -> System -> Advanced Configuration -> Friendly URLs and undo any customizations you may have done there.
  14. Sorry, this would be something you would need to investigate with your hosting provider or server administrator. Hosting support is outside our scope of support.
  15. Do you have an example of what the error message is or a URL where we can reproduce it?
  16. Incorrect key file is an issue with your MySQL server that would need to be resolved. Typically happens when your tmp directory is too small for MySQL. However, this would be for your hosting provider to investigate and resolve. We can provide you the schema of that table but as that table holds data about themes, you would lose all data on those themes.
  17. You are more than welcome to suggest that if you wish. Talking with my team internally, there are some improvements for link filtering in the future that will be server-side. However, word filtering is not currently being worked on.
  18. You are asking for suggestions to help fight the spam you are encountering. These are tools within the software today that you can deploy. Many of our customers have deployed this for other reasons and this has not angered their member-base because it only impacts new or those who have no/minimal content. How you deploy this is up to you.
  19. As mentioned by Matt, this is done in Javascript. Some bots can literally get past this as it is not done in processing the actual data. This is due to this is not meant for spam prevention.
  20. I am sorry to hear that your expectations of support are not being met, as that is not what we strive for. Please keep in mind though, that here in support, we can only inform you of what our software is capable of today. If that does not meet your needs, you're welcome to suggest new features in our Feature Suggestion forum. However, please keep in mind that these will be evaluated by our product team and if greenlit, worked into our development plan and lifecycle. I am also sorry that you are getting frustrated with spam, I would too. It is, unfortunately, a very frustrating part of running a website. I am happy to shift the focus of this support topic from word filters to how else you can prevent spam now that we have established why these bots can get around word filters. Seeing as you are seeing this with sleeper accounts that haven't posted in a while or have no/minimal posts, you may wish to use our group promotions tool to kind of separate users who have no or minimal activity to those who do. You can then mod queue the initial group that has no or minimal activity for 1 approved post or whatever you see fit to remove that mod queue. You can read more on that here: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/members-and-groups/promoting-members-r313/ There is also Automatic Moderation where your users can report content and if it meets the number of reports that you setup, it can be automatically hidden. This is helpful if you have a small moderator team or when your moderator team is offline. This can be done in ACP -> Members -> Automatic Moderation. Unfortunately, based on what you and a few others are reporting, there is quite a large spam attack going on out on the web currently. You may wish to analyze the given IP addresses or countries of the offending users and ban these at the network level with your hosting provider if you do not have real members from these countries. There are other solutions like CloudFlare which like you ban whole ASNs which may be of use as well.
  21. Please contact your hosting provider for assistance in repairing or restoring your database. If they are unable to repair the database, you will need to restore your database from a backup you took prior to attempting the upgrade.
  22. This would likely indicate it is not set appropriately or it isn't able to read the set value. Could you please provide us access so we can review your conf_global.php?
  23. Could you please disable all third party applications/plugins and then clear or disable template cache? Clearing template cache can be done by going to /uploads/ folder and then deleting all files prefixed with template_ If you are unsure what you're doing I would advise taking a backup of your uploads folder or simply just disable template caching in ACP -> System -> Advanced Configuration.
  24. Could you please upgrade to the latest release first? Then we can further investigate. I remember we used to have a bug with the age on registration so getting to the latest release where I believe this is fixed is the first step.
  25. mod_security and security modules in question would be on the server, rather than PHP directly.
