@GazzaGarratt Awesome! Thank you for this suggestion. đÂ

Yes, I think Randy is correct as I watched that bit too and if i'm not mistaken, the IPS Blog is written on the Pages application rather than the Blog piece so hopefully all of those features will be available in this drag and drop option.
Until then I would just back up how @opentype's strong plugin templates work really well with Articles and other Pages you create.

Thanks @Olivia Clark, I'm increasingly finding myself over time looking out for the regular updates so I'd much prefer you keep them coming đ
I thought I'd share that I like to separate the regular updates into pots more so across each individual module/application area that you support so it helps me to understand what could be next down the line. Not saying I use the exact pots from the below pic but its close enough. I then separate out to see if we're seeing enhancements; big or small and bug fixes for each one.
That way I know when to potentially be asking about certain updates in other areas across IPS. Thanks again Olivia đ

đ Welcome to this week's Invision Insight! đ
Thank you for checking out this weekly round up post. We would love to hear if you enjoy catching up here and how we can make these more useful for you. Feel free to say hello and let us know what are you working on this week.Â
As for us, letâs get into what the Invision Team is up to.
Â
Current Happenings
Our Live Topics feature is progressing nicely and nearing its debut in beta soon! Did you catch the live March Release Chat on Wednesday or notice the converted topic that now lives in this forum? That is the live topics feature in all its [version one] glory. đ Iâll share that topic here and if you missed the live topic in action and want to join, follow and add the April Release Chat to your calendar.
Â
On Deck
Our March release is set for next week so stay tuned for that. As you know, we recommend that you keep your community up to date each month to keep it running smoothly and so you can enjoy the latest updates. Let us know what you are looking forward to most this time. Are you a Downloads application user or are you getting into GraphQL?Â
As a reminder, here is what is slated for the March release, version 4.7.8.

Â
Peeking AheadÂ
Commerce is getting its round of improvements along with some additions to Clubs and more for Gallery based on feedback we have received. These are coming your way in the next month...or two. They are currently undergoing intense review and testing ... or something similar đ Happy to fill you in with more details once those are made available.
Â
Lastly, for those that like to see what we are up to line by line, here is the changelog for week.

Everything else would be a custom job.Â

GazzaGarratt reacted to Marc Stridgen in How do I add a visual/picture as a Selection Field?
Yeah, that would certainly need development to achieve

What I mean is the layout itself isnt built to accommodate that data. So not only would you need to change the output, you would also need to change the templates to accommodate that output. This however is a 'perhaps'. I havent tried or tested to do anything of that manner.Â

GazzaGarratt reacted to SeNioR- in Display problems on phones and tablets
CzeĹÄ Piotrek. I just checked the topic on my phone and it's OK for me (note that my phone is not Samsung).

GazzaGarratt got a reaction from SeNioR- in Display problems on phones and tablets
I saw this on the weekend for myself too! And I'm on a Samsung S9 looks like I'm on Chrome 109.0.5414.118 if that helps? I actually thought my phone had died because it looked like part of the screen had been tons of lines across the screen like the top image đ What's strange is I haven't seen it since then on the few threads i've read on my phone.
I can probably understand the above user's concerns because the mobile 'app' works via Chrome for most users and makes up many of people's core percentage of viewers of late.

GazzaGarratt reacted to opentype in Pages SuperDocs support topic
I tried on my demo site but canât replicate it. It seems like calling the fallback image somehow causes issues on your installation. Thatâs the only thing that switch does.Â
The obvious quick solution would be to not turn it off. đ
Without ACP access, I wouldnât know how to investigate it.Â

GazzaGarratt reacted to opentype in Canva embed
Yeah, that should be no problem at all. Here is an example:
https://www.opentype.space/supergrid/from-the-observatories/our-milky-way-r6/
I just added an URL field to the database, where you would then add this URL to a specific record.
https://www.canva.com/design/DAFZWegAizg/view
In the settings for the URL field, I turn off âShow in listing templateâ and under âDisplay View Formatâ I choose âCustomâ and add this code:
{{if $formValue}} <div style="position: relative; width: 100%; height: 0; padding-top: 141.4286%; padding-bottom: 0; box-shadow: 0 2px 8px 0 rgba(63,69,81,0.16); margin-top: 1.6em; margin-bottom: 0.9em; overflow: hidden; border-radius: 8px; will-change: transform;"> <iframe loading="lazy" style="position: absolute; width: 100%; height: 100%; top: 0; left: 0; border: none; padding: 0;margin: 0;" src="{$formValue}?embed" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" allow="fullscreen"> </iframe> </div> {{endif}} This creates the iFrame.Â
(P.S. If members can submit to this Pages database, I would add an additional check to make sure we only use Canva URLs. Otherwise people could embed any iFrame on your website.)

GazzaGarratt got a reaction from JaiKai in Adding the breakdown of countries within UK to Physical Address / Geolocation tables
The UK is named in the software for the IPS Geolocation, however England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland aren't unfortunately. Members want to select the specific country they live rather than overall 'United Kingdom' banner, therefore can we please add these individual countries to the list?
I know from reading through other things on Invision that work on the back of this Geolocation database, that this would significantly improve other applications and other resources that use the same database.
Thanks in advance.

GazzaGarratt reacted to Adriano Faria in Raffles System
It's enough to add only what you want to change, like:
.sosRafflesPrizesCell{ background: #000; color: yellow; } You don't need to repeat the other lines, unless you want to change them.
-
GazzaGarratt reacted to Adriano Faria in Raffles System
You can't edit CSS in IPS 4.7.0 anymore, AFAIK, so you would need to add your changes to the custom.css.

GazzaGarratt got a reaction from ReyDev in Member Collection [Support Topic]
Thanks ReyDev. If you ever do decide to look at this application for improvements, this would be a significant benefit in my eyes. Having people 'request to join' a group they see on your website would be a useful tool to take away all the effort on the admins in the AdminCP. Admins and Mods could effectively just review requests to join, if needed, and then accept them in.
I'll have a think about what we could do with this in the interim before deciding if it could make enough impact for us đ
-
GazzaGarratt reacted to ReyDev in Member Collection [Support Topic]
Hi,
sorry for the delay.
it's just possible via ACP
Â
Â
You can select that group so the plugin shows thats members
-
GazzaGarratt reacted to SoftwareFactory in Brilliant Discord Integration
@Li3D, @Trippâ Â - the issue with duplicate notifications was surprisingly hard to debug, as it turned out to be caused by a conflict with files which were removed a very long time ago from the source code, but kept in your website files as (to my surprise) the upgrader does not remove them automatically.
But the update is now pending approval on the Marketplace, so it should be available within the next few days. Apologies for the delay.
It was a scheduled task in the past, but I decided to reimplement the feature as it was extremely slow and unreliable, mostly due to the technical constraints of Invision Community Tasks feature. At this moment it is not possible, but I will keep this in mind when working on future updates. Thank you for your suggestion.

GazzaGarratt reacted to Richard Arch in Calendar Enhancements
Hi Adriano
I'm seeing this error message when uploading a file to messaging all attendees. This is on my test site which is running v4.7.7 beta 2. No errors are being logged in the IPS System or Error logs.

GazzaGarratt reacted to Adriano Faria in Calendar Enhancements
I have uploaded a fix.
Let me know if you (or anyone else) wants to upload a file to fix while you wait for the marketplace approval.
Tks. đ

@GazzaGarratt this is forum permissions. You are giving a permission to guest to be able to create topics on some/all the forums you have.
