When was the 4.6 ETA?
I can't see that link as I won't extend my licence until 4.6 is released.
It's a shame with apple and no website push.
Hopefully apple comes up with a salvation solution.
 

If it doesn't work on macOS/iOS/iPadOS, why show the option to enable push notifications at all?
This is a lie:

Why not detect the browser or OS, and not show the option (since it's going to fail) on those OSes?
I know Apple's privacy tracking (for which I'm very grateful) obfuscates some data, but you can still detect the OS or handle this more gracefully, no?

Although linking me to a separate thread in a way that makes it sound like I should have read about the update over in that thread seems like a strange way to answer a legitimate question.
Especially when the title and topic of the linked thread doesn't appear to have anything to do with an "update release date".

Are there any updates to this? 
It's been nearly 2 months since this initial post was made. 
The last update I've been able to find was from 3 weeks ago saying "a few weeks". 

No new reaction for this?

Rules are handled via extensions, so 3rd party apps will be able to implement own rules in their apps :)

Same here, it's one of the oddest decisions I've seen made in a software update in my last few decades of being in the software world. 

I just had a closer read of this and whilst it is a step in the right direction, I still don't think it's amazing.
Most people that use these notifications will still want to be notified when one of their posts is quoted by someone else.
But no-one wants to be notified when their post get a like/reaction. 
Keeping "quotes" and "reactions" bundled into a single option is a mistake in my opinion.
I feel like "quotes" should either be bundled with "replies / mentions" or setup as it's own option.
To be honest - for the best granularity - all 4 options should be separate.
I.e.
- REPLIES         [ON / OFF]
- MENTIONS   [ON / OFF]
- QUOTES        [ON / OFF]
- REACTIPONS [ON / OFF]

A patch would be welcome!

Oh, likewise - we are still getting complaints about this one - we can't wait for it to be fixed.

I feel for you. I can't imagine how this behavior got approved to be in the first place....

What is the eta for 4.6? The change to Like Button notifications is something that our members ask for almost every day. 4.6 can't be too soon.

I am looking at the dark tones in your photo and video and have to ask. Can we hope to expect a light / dark button in 4.6?

I prefer the term 'Mediator' or even capitalising on your own title @Jordan Invision an 'Advocate' I've even change the names of the groups on my own site.  Admin becomes Community Leader and Moderator becomes Advocate.  Takes the boardroom air off the titles and makes them more amenable. 
I prefer mediation to confrontation - the latter listens to both sides whilst the other just starts knocking heads together which leads to bitter feelings.  The name 'community' says it all - it means coming together not railing against each other over what (for the most part) are issues of a lesser degree than other things going on in the community.
I agree with you 100% that leadership starts at the top, but looks towards the bottom without prejudice 🙂
 

Great news! The most important difference between an app and IPS on web browser is notification in my opinion. Now it will be similar. Perfect!

With Native mobile, web push... IPS is on the modern need trend way, but still pending the UI clunky and use of space in mobile issues... And yes, I have hope again!
