Might be slight off-topic, but what is the difference between Cloud and Enterprise customers? Is it possible to be an Enterprise customer and still be self hosted and not in the cloud?

I'm keen to see Zapier available, but I'd imagine it's a pricing thing, as it isn't free at anything but the most basic level. This also makes me wary of using it - if IPB and Zapier can't agree on pricing at some point in the future, what happens to your automation?

Agreed! Crippled software for faithful customers who prefer to self host...

This is a bit of a slap in the face to self hosted clients. Nothing to celebrate here. 👎

    That's awesome indeed!
I'm unsure about the meaning of this sentence "available for Cloud and Enterprise Community customers exclusively".
Arent the vast majority of ipb license holders non cloud or enterprise customers?

Petition for "Update Member" action and "When product is purchased" trigger. Loving it so far!

Ah, I'm sorry I didn't make this clearer. The Community Manager's Lounge replaces the Client Lounge, so you need to be logged in with an active client account to contribute.

We merged in the general chat as we felt that a fairly random 'everyone can chat' forum fit with the rest of the community.

It's already quite easy for 3rd parties to add their own endpoints to their app.

The members REST API endpoint specifically (this does not apply to other endpoints), allows you to set undefined member properties through the rawProperties request parameter.
    &rawProperties[member_points]=100

I'll be posting this in feedback as well, as @bfarber recommends, but I think the following should strongly be considered:
Make the REST API mandatory (at least for access from same host) Start using the REST API within the default IPS theme for things like the widgets, user status In other words, even for the core product, start moving to more of an SPA paradigm, with graceful fallback to server-side content when possible In this fashion, the REST API becomes more immediately useful to all developers, because it's guaranteed to be present and is hooked in to the way the core product functions, OOTB.

I'll be jumping into learning this stuff full time in January.  Wow, it's hard to get a handle on all the different things you need to learn and where to start.
I am curious why, say with running Drupal as headless/decoupled they suggest running it along side NodeJs.   Is that strictly for additional application functionality the CMS itself doesn't provide or is that necessary to make it work?
wrt to running a PWA or headless IPS can it be done with vanilla Javascript or  js + react?
My plan was html/css -> JS -> React  and focus on the front end using IPS as the back end.  However, it seems node keeps getting thrown into the mix.
An example of the kind of thing I want to add to my site:  A line up builder so people can create and post lineups in the forum or in articles.

Thanks for taking the time to write this response! I especially like this: "Elevating the conversations to ever higher levels will get people to slow down and think a moment before responding to posts or creating new ones."
    I totally agree. 🙏

Appreciate that 🙏  I'm open to the comments about community politics mainly because I want to show people I'm here for them and that they can rely on me to help inspire change. 🙂

@Jordan Invision has been anything but hostile as far as I have seen.  I am curious to see what you perceive as hostile. Can you indeed post the link to those posts where he has been 'hostile' according to you?

Sorry to see that perspective 😕 I'm not aware of being hostile towards anyone. If you could link me to the post(s) where I was - I'd love to check it out so I can learn from my mistakes and be better. 🙏

Interesting to see a community advocate that accuses people of being hostile because they have a conservative tone via text.  Good luck. 😏

Hi there! Super sorry to hear about this. I can imagine that must be frustrating as a business owner for you. I do think Invision IS super keen on listening to the community, though. They're literally putting their money where their mouth is by hiring me, because my role is to do just that. Let's see if we can turn things around for you so you don't feel left in the dark. If you are open to that of course. 🙏

    Really appreciate this response, @Matt!
Ultimately, I want to help make Invision a better community. I sincerely appreciate the Invision team seeing potential in me to help make that happen. And just like I am open to feedback from the community, I am of course open to feedback from the team as well. I think it's important and state that publicly because one of our over-arching goals with my role is to add transparency to Invision.
Thanks again for all the wise words and support above! 😢 🙏

    Hey again, Joel. Jordan here.
First off, I want to say that I genuinely appreciate your passion for community building. We spoke about a year and a half ago via Skype because you genuinely care about the subject and offered me a lot of valuable insight. It really doubled down the importance of online communities. I've always appreciated that convo we had and want to publicly give you props for that. Thank you. 🙏
You bring up a lot of great points! That's exactly why (I believe) Invision decided to include me in an official capacity, because first and foremost we want the community to be heard and taken seriously. I've been a frequent visitor of the Invision Community; I have a lot of experience regarding the customer side of things and wanting XYZ change. I understand the feeling of wanting my ideas/concerns/feedback heard and hopefully implemented.
That is one of our goals with my role is to listen, assess and take decisive action.
I do feel confident I can be an advocate for you and other Invision clients, as well as be a sounding board for the official team. Picture me as an Invision Bridge that connects this community to the team. I believe this takes trust, which I must earn, and I look forward to that.
You make a lot of great points. The community does not need a professional meme poster. We need someone who has the power to deliver and communicate on meaningful actions to drive our communities forward.
I do believe I can serve you and the rest of the community in that regard.
However, I know actions speak louder than words, so I'm looking forward to the future and the upcoming opportunities to show that. 😊
And just cause I love me a good cat meme.

If you need anything, @Joel R, please feel free to reach out to me via PM. I'm here for you and the rest of the community.

I disagree with this. If there is any company out there that really listens to their customers, it is Ips. Regarding your forum issues, Ips is at no fault here. I agree with Matt above, they occurred due to your set up.
I just noticed that I am out of milk btw, damn Ipb. It is their fault 😄
@Jordan Invision, congratulations :). I think your promotion is very well deserved and you are doing a very good job so far. Keep it up :)
