These are sections based on the IPS grid system with the widths set as percentages.  If you create two new CSS classes to control the widths you can determine what widths you'd like them set at; copy these and add them to your custom CSS file:
This controls the left column - the width shown is what it is currently set at.

If you are on a shared server then the php.ini file may not be recursive - which means that you will need to add that php.ini file to every folder to ensure those commands are executed at every level.  Some hosts have recursive php.ini files, but many don't.  Add the php.ini file into your admin folder and see if the error goes away, if it does then your php.ini file is NOT recursive.  Don't assume that because the error has gone away by adding the php.ini file in the admin folder that it has worked, it has just worked in the admin folder, so it won't be effective everywhere.  I had this same issue on the shared hosting server I use and I had to add the php.ini file to every folder (I used a command script to do this for me lol).

You need to understand that I am not a programmer, so your terminologies are meaningless to me no matter how many times you tell me.  Also, I am not on about what is or is not saved, I am referring to giving the ability to change this data regardless of where it comes from.  For example, the trailers - I understand that they are pulled from TMDB, but what I am asking is whether you can add the ability to modify this data from the user end.  This would mean that if a trailer is added using a particular YT URL, give the ability to change this to a URL so that it is relevant.  If this can't be done then fair enough, but please try to explain your reasoning in layman terms so that a better understanding of what can and can't be done.
In respect of the trailers, there must be a field somewhere that holds this information so that the trailers can be displayed; what I am asking is 'can this field be edited'?  I've seen this done in other apps, so if it can be done with the movies app that will elevate it's usability greatly. I am not trying to make waves or poke holes, I'm simply asking if you can make modifications for user intervention if the data from TMDB is flawed.
As I mentioned, I was able to login to TMDB and make changes, which are viewable on TMDB, but when I reimport the data those changes are not showing, and the old data is still there - that's as much as I can do.  Again, with thanks for all that you do and whilst it may not be apparent, you work and efforts are appreciated 🙂

There’s a setting where you can choose minimum length of title field. Minimum is 2, as far as I remember.

Just a quick ask as to when the reported issues will be receiving some TLC on the movies app?  To recap:
Need to separate Movie and TV numbers so that there is no conflict - i.e. movie number 123 is same as TV show so when one is added the other can't be.
Reduce minimum characters required for movie/TV show title to allow the addition of movies and shows such as 'V' and 'X2'
Other than that everything else, as far as I remember, is cool and I'm lovin' it 🙂
When I get my next payment I'll be buying your music app to complement the movies app.

We were using CleanTalk to block and prevent spammers and it was working very well for us until IPS upgraded to version 4.5 and the plugin then needed to modified into an Application instead of a Plugin. I'm not sure what all is involved but it looks like CleanTalk is struggling with making it work with IPS 4.5x
I don't know about the rest of you but with using CleanTalk we probably got about 2 spammers a week that got through. Now with CleanTalk gone we are slowly creeping back up and at times now get a dozen spammers getting through every day.

Last year we also imported a huge email domain not-allowed list that helped a lot but adding CleanTalk made a night and day difference and after a few weeks of training we went from 50 or more spam posts per day to maybe 2 a week or less.
What are other using to help prevent Spammers from posting? The IPS Spam Defense just is not cutting it. It does catch some but not many.

Personally I'd like to see IPS step up their game. If CleanTalk was able to make a huge spam issue almost disappear as a plugin I'd think IPS knowing their code intimately would be able to do the same thing for their own product and thus helping all their customers achieve a much higher success rate at blocking spammers.
Suggestions and feedback welcome on what you're using to help prevent Spam posters.

To make it easier to navigate the marketplace for updates please add a 'My Purchases' option just as you have in the onsite Marketplace.  It makes it easier to find your purchases and renew them if required.  It seems like a no brainer to me and its omission may be an oversight or for some technical reason; either way, it would be good to have this option in the ACP 🙂

For a future update would it be possible to add an 'internal link' feature so that the active state of buttons can be applied.  As of now if I want to create a link to a specific category, I have to use the external link option, even though this is actually an internal link; by doing so, as there is no other option, when the menu button is clicked there is no active state showing.
I believe the menu manager could be enhanced to both allow internal links and also have the external link buttons made to look active when clicked.

Aye, I was just preparing some screenshots to illustrate what I was meaning when the darn thing worked, whereas before it just kept saying this block cannot be shown as it needs configuring - weird, but it's working now so not an issue after all 🙂

I would humbly suggest that an option is added to the subscription settings as to whether subscribers can cancel without notice or have to give notice in writing (could be an email) that they wish to cancel; the cancellation period being whatever the owner deems reasonable and is added to their terms and conditions.
My client currently runs a Union through the IPS cloud service, and he is tired and irritated at people joining for a month to get what they want and then cancel without notice. Without an option to stop automated cancellations it is causing major issues within his organisation.
Having an option to stop automated cancellations would go a long way to mitigating this issue and he can add a cancellation term into his T&C's and then manually remove anyone who wants to leave after their contract ends.

Ok, went ahead and create the widget. So now you have:
1: a contextual sidebar block (not a widget) to display subcategories of the category you're browing and it is enabled/disabled via setting; if you're on index, then all categories will show up (first block in the image below).
2: a widget where will display ALL existing categories, no matter where you are ( second block in the image below).
