In version 4.x, the sidebar has a fixed width of 340 pixels.
For certain size displays, it's OK, but for higher resolution displays, sidebar looks too narrow...
For my site I have solved it by using % for sidebar width (I use left sidebar), for a responsive view - but with a right sidebar this idea fails.
Are you developers thinking about version 5, for responsive sidebar size?

Marketplace was really good option to find everything in one spot. Now i need to register on 20 different sites and half I don't even remember.
It's like Apple telling to it's customer, here take iPhone. You want apps? Go on developers site and install from their. Jeez, what a nightmare.
Take care of your health. Rest everything will go on.
PS I am one of the customers who is unhappy because support/ticket system is gone and have to deal with broken donation system in store.

I've been using IPB since 2006 with the MSSQL driver.   I was always attracted to the flexibility of the platform with minimal programming.
Recently tech support has become more difficult.  It's harder to find code examples and removing the marketplace killed a creativity source for me.   I had a stroke a few years ago, so my development skills are retarded, but still I believe this is one of the poorer organized forms in regards to technical documentation.
A wiki, kept up to date by your community, would really help in development IMHO.
    Good luck all!

    Hi Martin,
I've really attempted to use IPS for my big gaming community but honestly, at this point, I have to agree. IPS seems to be moving to appeal to corporate websites with things like (courses) instead of focusing on what other forum sites do. It seems that awesome features I loved are being removed like the integrated support system and more. With the marketplace being removed it is removing a good and awesome opportunity for developers to make money. I am going to start to begin to move to another forum site.

Google is taking seriously because of all the rush to get good data for AI models/search display and competition is getting spicy with Bing.

This file will be supported by me, from now on, on my board: https://www.sosinvision.com.br/index.php?/file/298-community-map/
You can redeem the marketplace purchase keys provided by IPS to keep getting updates and support for this application.
    Thank you.

Sadly, it will also mean some developers will simply not bother continuing. This was perhaps supposed to be something easy enough to do on the side for them. They are not interested in making life more complex for themselves nor interested in starting their own webshops.
I can already see some devs abandoning things even now...

Sorry, but this is a sucky move.

It will be more incentive still to move away from Invision and will likely dissuade new users looking to easily,  cheaply and rapidly implement Invision with some customized functions.

Now you'll need to pay out of ear for custom development and be held in by the very limited devs experienced with this platform.

You'll also need to verify them yourself, somehow and you'll need accounts on countless sites to even try to facilitate those modules, coming from all different devs.

I just don’t see myself looking at the providers page, then going to their individual pages, then looking at apps. Most of the apps I use were found by browsing here, not even searching.

I’m guessing I’ll gradually use the stock, less good, version of Invision Community. Kind of a bummer.

    Hi
    Just discover this
sounds weird to me, App store, Google play store, Wordpress plugins depository, it makes sense to find all apps / plugins at the same place, rather than to have to check all devs websites...
i am not sure that's a good move

Several developers have opted in to the Providers designation, which provides a reasonable level of trust within the IPS ecosystem.  You'll recognize many of the same names who have been around for years.
When you do buy third party mods or themes, one of the easiest things you can do is check that they're a Provider.
