  1. Have you checked the member groups to make sure they are allowed to switch views? If the group does not have permission, they would get assigned the default view and not be able to select another. Also on this site there is an attachment limit of 50MB. Thats of ALL attachments ever uploaded. So each time you upload a file, your total quota of available space drops. You can manage your attachments in your account settings. https://invisioncommunity.com/attachments/
  2. Personally I dont do anything. I don’t have time to track millions of old topics. I would leave it be.
  3. It’s a big upgrade, I’m not denying that fact at all. However if/when something goes wrong, are you prepared to deal with it by yourself? Are you able to not just troubleshoot the problem but also recover? If not, you should be. With the situation you are in now, it’s not if something goes wrong but instead when.
  4. And are you using a WAF like cloudflare? If so try disabling it temporarily.
  5. That would be a host issue then. 🙂 As you only have a reseller account, they control what options you have access to.
  6. Also just putting this out there…3.x has many known security issues. The version of PHP it’s able to run also has known issues. Basically anything associated with it is end of life. This means if you run into any sort of problem, you won’t be able to get support. I would highly recommend having good backups that are tested frequently. I would also highly recommend upgrading as well. Otherwise when stuff hits the fan, you’re going to be stuck in the boat by yourself without the ability to get any sort of help.
  7. Take a look at the CleanTalk plugin. It's done a good job in reducing spam on our site. It's not perfect (nothing is honestly), but it's certainly been a help in the fight! https://cleantalk.org/help/install-ipboard4
  8. You might want to re-read earlier in this thread... as per Marc earlier: Given that IPS never did vulnerability scanning, you are not actually losing anything on that front other than the perception that it was being done when it was not. 🙂
  9. On the topic of mobile, are there plans to help promote the PWA? For example notifying the user the option exists and promote installing it?
  10. It’s literally a PHP extension called php-redis. https://github.com/phpredis/phpredis You might be able to install it through yum/apt, if not it can generally be installed through pecl. https://developer.redis.com/develop/php/ Just having the Redis application installed does not mean PHP can talk to it. It’s similar to how MySQL support needs to be added to PHP for it to work. 🙂
  11. If they normally logged in with discord, and you only disabled the module… there is no password stored for them with the default login handler. I believe users would need to use lost password feature to be able to set new password. If you turned off discord and using default module, try creating a new account and login to it. If it works, that is what is happening.
  12. If you're looking to do something like that, I would recommend not trying to do that within the software itself. Instead you should be using some sort WAF.
  13. It’s not the way the software works. If you want to make a suggestion to change it, post it in the feedback forum. The support guys don’t get to make decisions on software changes.
  14. How about something like this to stay safe? If I need something formal, can I get away with the following?
  15. You may want to also rebuild your system cache in the ACP also but yes… that easy!
  16. Support won’t login to your server and support for 3.X ended YEARS ago. Off hand it sounds like when you moved servers you moved to a host that has a newer version of MySQL than what 3.3 supported. The 3.3.X line is 10+ years old and like 10 versions of PHP behind modern standards. I would HIGHLY recommend working with a 3rd party resource that specializes in legacy upgrades and move to an updated version. Otherwise IPS itself won’t be able to provide support. https://invisioncommunity.com/third-party/providers-directory/?advanced_search_submitted=1&content_field_231[4]=4&content_field_232[0]=0&content_field_232[1]=1
  17. Does this happen on a new/default/unmodified theme? I’m not seeing this problem myself on the latest version.
  18. You should be able to edit your board’s language to make the string say whatever you like it to be. 🙂
  19. I’m showing my age, but I remember 2.0 and 3.0! You dang kids get off my lawn! (I still remember thinking how IPB 1.0 looked so much nicer than Ikonboard 3.X!)
  20. The feed view looks amazing! One thing to consider might be allowing us to use multiple views concurrently. For example say feed view for specific forums and then table for the rest. The idea is that this might allow us to highlight and give more “real estate” to a few specific forums and highlight the content inside while others could be in a more “compact” view.
  21. I found the super secret server hosting the site! Invision.local! That’s what you get for not blaring out that localhost address! All the secrets exposed!
  22. I dumped them a long time ago for this exact reason. They arbitrarily change rules with no notification and make it impossible to not spend an ungodly number of hours begging for them to let them harvest you and your users data.
  23. This is currently not possible. You might want to post the request in the feedback forum as it certainly would be handy to have for things like holidays.
  24. After applying the patch, go to the tasks section and unlock it. After it’s unlocked you should be able to run it.
