Hey, howabout enhancing the Skins Management section of ACP and allow Administrators to drag and drop the skins in the order they want them to appear in, just with how the forums management and hooks management is setup?

I've been thinking about this one while installing hooks but how about adding this option so that every member can manage which hooks they want to appear when they log into any message board using IPB 3: adding a Hooks Management section in "My Controls" and allowing members to toggle on or off whatever hooks are installed.

So long as the Admin can specify which hooks are optional for the members. There could be a certain hook that the Admin wants required.

Before upgrading to IPB3, there were some members in my community who would have problems with 2.3 such as logging in or other access problems. While I was unsure of how my community would take to IPB3, I have to say that the majority of members on my site have been pleased with the new version. Most of the problems that were associated with IPB 2.3 had been fixed with IPB3 and everyone seems happy with the new version including the new features. While some bugs have been corrected, I've been told, with 3.0.1, it's been the general consensus that my members like the new IPB.

The only issue I've heard so far is that some of my members would like to see a feature which would allow them to turn the smilies or emoticons "on or off" so that they don't have to view them. While there are some areas that IPB3 could stand improvement in, I can honestly report that the new software receives positive marks from my 700+ members.

Why doesn't IPS just post something on the homepage that indicates how someone can report IPB piracy because I'm seeing a lot of these type of topics created on the forums here.

Sorry about that, Josh. Been preoccupied with a disruptive member on my site. I think I just used the wrong word. I didn't mean 'fake.' I should really get some sleep before I commit to posting a comment. Won't do that again.

At any rate, I was going by what has been said before and my predictions concerning the releases of previous Beta Releases as well as the intended verbal release date that IPS has announced, unofficially, and my own predictions about that June date.

I do apologize for being a little overdramatic and a bit cynical. :D

The whole point in paying the renewal for the license is that free upgrades are included in that package.

Good luck on the RC release. Ain't gonna happen anytime soon. There's already a Beta 5 scheduled and I doubt we'll see a release for IPB 3 Final before June or July. The testing for IPB Beta's have been going on for about a month each. Since there are bugs being reported with each Beta, I suspect that we'll see a Beta 6 and 7 before it moves to RC mode.

iBot, I'm not trying to be negative. I'm just stating that giving the current status of the Beta testing, that it's probably doubtful that we would see a final release of IPB3 before an RC release has went through the motions. As long as there are substantial buga being reported, I doubt that IPS would release a final version with significant bug reports.
