Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted September 5, 20231 yr Hi, when I use the >> tab and check items (Topics and Posts) on the sidebar (right side) I can set under "Visiblity" the option "show on all devices". I've done this, but the widgets still do not appear. Are these inactivated elsewhere? Where can I find this setting? Thanks.
September 5, 20231 yr Community Expert They would usually show under the content if you scroll down, when on mobile. Are you logged in also? Asking as the front end would be cached for guests, so you may be looking and just not seeing it yet
September 5, 20231 yr Author Yes, I'm logged in. Members have reported not seeing it on mobile, either. There's only the normal stuff as I scroll down, no sidebar widgets. They are of course visible on a PC. Edited September 5, 20231 yr by I_cant_Swim_

September 5, 20231 yr Author I think that's it! @Nathan Explosion. Where is this setting, please? oh, yeah. Found it. Thanks for the tip!
September 5, 20231 yr Author Yes, I appreciate the possibility this offers of controlling the presence of widgets using various themes, but perhaps the initial settings using the >> visibility option should contain a link or note to the Theme setting above?
September 5, 20231 yr Given the functionality works as currently designed… that would be a suggestion to make in the feedback forum. 🙂
September 5, 20231 yr Author Yeah, if at all. This stuff is all new to me, for everyone else it's probably like "Elementary, my dear Watson".
September 7, 20231 yr Author Har har. The nic is from my account in a naval warfare game (World of Warships). Got some reaction from members there too! (It is for that member community that I'm building the site).
