Dll
Hi, just wondering if there are any details available about the cloud email service for cic clients at all? For instance, does it use smtp or an api? Also, is it possible to set up things like SPF, DKIM and signing for it?
Marc
These arent things in which you need to worry about if you are using our email service. They go out from our address and is already set up.
Dll
Ok, thanks - so if we want to use our own email address then we have to use an external provider?
Solution Marc Posted September 22, 2022 Solution Share Posted September 22, 2022 Yeah, that would be correct, yes. We do not provide a personalised email service at present SeNioR- and Dll 1

Dll
You're not out of luck, you just need to use your own email provider through SMTP or Sendgrid and not the built in one. Edited December 2, 2022 by Dll

So cloud hosting is much more expensive and requires external email and external elasticsearch. Oh fun, can't wait.
Marc
Yes, if you wish to use your own email, you would need your own email service to do this. 39 minutes ago, Chris027 said: Oh fun, can't wait Not sure what you mean here, to be honest. Cant wait for what? You appear to be self hosted
Jim M
I've cleaned this topic up and moved the discussion on self-hosted/cloud to the appropriate topic. Please keep things on topic here.

Oh fun, can't wait. I can't really speak for elastic search but I agree that the need for an external email provider is a bummer at that price point. Or to put it in a more positive light: it would be awesome if in the near future, the Cloud services included email services so that notification emails came from the expected domain name, and not from noreply@invisioncloudcommunity.com - without the need to purchase an additional service from a 3rd party vendor. I suppose that may belong in the "Feature Suggestions" forum. Edited December 2, 2022 by Jamynee Chris027 and Markus Jung 1

If you would like to see that in the future, you will want to submit this to the Feature Suggestions forum 🙂 . David N.
