Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 13, 20168 yr I think it would be really nice to have the ability to create a post and schedule it to be posted at a later date/time. This would allow me to do a LOT of work ahead of time on my forum.
October 14, 20168 yr I think that there is this option already, at least there is for forum (can't remember right now about pages). If you mean something like scheduled posts like on WordPress or queued posts like on tumblr, I agree this is a needed feature on IPS. Am fairly sure they don't have that.
May 1, 20186 yr This would be very nice - currently I'm relying on using a spreadsheet and a calendar manually for content scheduling of forum topics. I'm a more visual person so if we can have a calendar view that includes visual dots/tabs that would be great.
August 29, 20195 yr This is also a feature I've had requested - is it buried anywhere and I simply can't find it ?

August 29, 20195 yr I wonder if the 'hide post' and 'unlock post' features when posting work that way?

September 21, 20195 yr In Pages this is one of the features I use the most. It would definetly be great to have this in Forums, too.
January 1, 20205 yr Any updates on this topic since scheduling posts on forum would be extremely helpful
March 12, 20204 yr Agree, this would be great for moderators to help manage our workload. Seems like a relatively easy option to implement as well?
October 13, 20204 yr We desperately need this feature. Honestly I find it hard to believe it's not already included - it's essential for any community running any sort of scheduled event. I've sorted through the available apps & I cannot find any that offer this. Am I missing it? Has anyone found a way to do this in 4.5.3?
October 13, 20204 yr Pages and Blog both offer the ability to schedule entries to post publicly at a later time.

But we have a WP blog that is 10+ years old with thousands of posts, so we don't use the blog app. And we run these events forum-style. We post a daily challenge and our customers post their replies - it's a section of our forum.

October 14, 20204 yr I have brought this up internally for further review, I can't promise anything at this point, but it's being considered for a future version. Thank you for all of your feedback on this item.

April 26, 20213 yr This could be pretty useful! Same with a "draft" option for topics (which we have a separate topic about I believe).
April 26, 20213 yr This would help no end. A universal option across the applications that create content would be absolutely amazing. Especially when time is a finite resource these days and sometimes you want to put something up at a specific time but you know you won't be around to do it at that moment. I imagine most people that work alongside their community as a hobby or/and second job it would be critical to their efficiency and possibly a huge wellbeing impact for people.

Jotted this down. We'll see if this is something worth taking a closer look at in the future. 🔮
October 5, 20213 yr Bump. Anymore news on scheduling a topic and/or post in the future? This would be a great feature. Edited October 5, 20213 yr by NAWAC
February 4, 20222 yr Hi @Marc Stridgen is it now possible to schedule post on the forum? I can see how to "locked" them and unlocked them. But the message still appears even if they are locked. Thank you Edited February 4, 20222 yr by Aurélie Grignard
