Energizer Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Since many years, it give this topics repeatedly with Release-Questions. Since many years give always the same answer. Some people Learning is simply not.
FRZ Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I edited the skin and translated the language, when RC2 will be released, my skin and my language will remain? Or they will be replaced?
Amfidiusz-PL Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 If you copy CSS (+graphics) and language files, nothing should happen...
Lee Craven Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 [quote name='Matt' date='03 June 2009 - 02:49 AM' timestamp='1244026189' post='1807275'] I used to use AOL dial up on a 33k modem. 10 seconds to me is fast. You got's money man, I just upgraded from the Post Office wire to a 14k modem, and I upgraded my web server to a 486 DX4!
bfarber Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 We've identified most of the issues we believe that were causing increased server loads. In the process we've optimized a few other areas in minor ways (but minor tweaks add up over time).
Axel Wers Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Yes, index and this topic are in ~ 0,5 sec loaded. Active content in ~ 2,5 sec. Much more better. Yesterday it was horrible! :D
sparc Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Definite improvement. I could barely even load the company forums since the RC2 update. Still a little slow to render the page or complete post edits, but I guess that could be their server.
bfarber Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 We're still working on things. Identified a few more issues and just updated the site. We have some tools in place to help us identify where the problems are, so things are picking up now.

Mark H. Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 [quote name='kto' date='04 June 2009 - 04:13 PM' timestamp='1244150007' post='1807637'] When it will appear for collecting RC2? I apologize for my english. IPS cannot or will not say yet. When it's ready to release, they will release it. But it should be only a matter of days, since the Forum here is now running RC2.

Malefickus Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Predicting when IPB will out, as a consumer who has no idea what their internal plans or ideas are, is almost as good of an odd of guessing it as winning the Powerball.
Stallyon Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 [quote name='Matt' date='03 June 2009 - 08:49 PM' timestamp='1244026189' post='1807275'] I used to use AOL dial up on a 33k modem. 10 seconds to me is fast. I remember a few things on the internet - I remember in 1995 using a 14,400 bps modem using Netscape 1.0 in my first year of University. This was when the internet was still an infant. But previous to this in 1989, I remember using a state-of-the-art 9,600 bps in an Apple IIe to send emails to other kids in Portsmouth, England. We were the first school in Australia to get this privilege. Was a real buzz.
AndyF Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 [quote name='Lee Craven' date='07 June 2009 - 01:41 PM' timestamp='1244378480' post='1808060'] Come on my little darlings I know RC2 is near :D The Bug Tracker is a good place to look to see how things are going...
Schemata Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 IPB is using RC2 on their board. Ours should be coming soon.
Wolf Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I don't really like the "Not a member?" box. any way to change it? (looked a bit in the lang files, wanted to spiff it up for my board) also, IPB3 RC2 FTW!!!
HaZuuKaa Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 [quote name='Tom Christian' date='03 June 2009 - 12:05 AM' timestamp='1243983911' post='1807187'] I'm guessing RC3 just to play it safe. It's always a good thing to do things atleast three times. I'm also guessing Wednesday June 10th is the RC2 release. Wednesday June 10th is the RC2 release - Hope you said TRUE :D
Jmiz9000 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 right now In the bug tracker there are 20 bugs excluding the ongoing research ones
