dflorin Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 i have just updated my board from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5. i knew i will regret this, and so i do: now i have a blank page as board index.
jucs Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 i have just updated my board from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5. i knew i will regret this, and so i do: now i have a blank page as board index. Which is why I check the upgrade thread and see how many issues people are having. This is one upgrade that appears to have one that is blamed on IE. Geez, it's just used by millions on the web. Go figure. Dang IE. It's not something IPB should consider their issue. ;)
dflorin Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 i've been reading this thread since it started. there was nothing of this kind. this is what i get as board index:<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"></HEAD> <BODY></BODY></HTML> that is not even the charset i use for the board. i have iso-8859-1 even stranger is that 2 admins get a blank page (as above) while 2 moderators and 1 regular member get the normal index (they did clean their cache).
dflorin Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 seems it was an edit i forgot to perform for "members online today" mod. now it seems to work fine.
dflorin Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 does this bugfix for current version 42. UTF-8 charsets double decoded incorrectly when using AJAX have anything to do with confirmation messages like this one: ? (it is the "are you sure you want to delete this post?" confirmation) it has been like this since 2.0.4 (first version i used).
Australia4WD Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Just wondering as I dont want to do the full upgrade just yet (from v2.1.4) - but can I just upload the parachat changes so I can upgrade to version 7 sources\components_acp \sources\components_public \sources\components_acp Is there anything else or will I break it :o cheers Pete
Arthas666 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I recently upgraded my board from version 1.2 to 2.1.5. My question is: do I need to install any security updates that have been released before version 2.1.5 came out, or does it include them?
Dll Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 It includes all the latest code - including security updates.
Mesmer Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I just performed the upgrade from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5. No problems whatsoever!
bfarber Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I seemed to upgrade fine, all appeared to go smoothly but it now seems i have the dreaded "clicking" problem (which i had only heard about until now, id never seen it before). Unfortunately getting alot of complaints. It is a direct result of the 2.14 -> 2.15 upgrade and is affecting all my IE users. Is there a fix for this bug? Thanks in advance, and also well done on an otherwise great upgrade! Regards, Rob Upload iframe.html from style_images/1/ to EACH of your skin image folders. :)Who know, what changed between IPB 2.1.4 and 2.1.5 in ipb_poll.js (in report in news topic it's have, but i don't find any differences in ipb_poll.js 2.1.4 and ipb_poll.js 2.1.5)? I'm not seeing any changes either and I don't recall there being any. Likely, the file was opened and I had to alert changes while troubleshooting, removed the alert command, saved, and the software saw that I had "changed" it. A script is what pulls the difference reports. I don't see any code changes with a difference tool however. Unless you have modified this file though, might as well just upload it. ;) does this bugfix for current version have anything to do with confirmation messages like this one: ? (it is the "are you sure you want to delete this post?" confirmation) it has been like this since 2.0.4 (first version i used). No, that had to do with javascript errors (I got this from Russian users mostly) that said something like System Error: 10108304964 in IE.
ErwinB Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 You musn't encode caracters in HTML entities with the JS strings in the language files. They're not converted by the browser.
Christophe Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Went to 2.1.4 to 2.1.5 no problem. But for some reason some users are saying that they can not use their back button on certain forums now using IE. No problem here with Moz or FF...no idea what could be causing that.
Steve G. Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 no problem with Final Fantasy?   Firefox

bearback Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 is there a list of changes to the php files. ??? Upgrading from IPB 2.1.4 to IPB 2.1.5 but have many mods, is there a list of changes to the php files. ??? found it quicker to add the changes or additions rather than having to go through all the mods again. Thank you

Australia4WD Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 For the parachat users who are not seeing V7 in their dropdown inacp, go to parachat .com and lodge an upgrade ticket After they do it go back to ACP and renter all your settings. Also the parachat site panel that you used for V6 wont work after upgrade you need the V7 board. Just follow the guide for invision users cheeers Pete

PSXHosting Ltd. Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Has this vulnerability been fixed? http://www.securityfocus.com/bid/16971
Msb_last Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 What with this:http://www.example.com/index.php?showtopic=208510&pid=1366158&st=-1[sql]&#entry1366158 few days after release we have new bugs :/ ... Is any patch for this ?! Or next ipb update !? (It isn't funny...) - sql injection code...
bfarber Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Guys, have you actually TRIED that vulnerability? I posted something about this on IPS Beyond yesterday - it appears to be a bogus false alarm. We cannot contruct a working example, OTHER than to cause an SQL error due to the -1. The value is intval'd properly. See Matt's response: http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/426945
