Hi! We'd like to alert all new registrants to the fact that they should update their display name before making their first post. There are two ways we could accomplish this: Send an automatic private message from the administrator to all new users at the point of registration Display a reminder above the box that a user makes a post (either reply or new topic) However, I can't figure out how to do either of these! Any suggestions for which of these would be best to implement, and how to do it?

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is "Yes" but if I buy the commerce add-on, can I use it to create an "Ad free" membership that automatically adds users to a group, then use that group to hide adverts for those users?

I'm trying to create a club in which the user must pay to access the club. In order to hide the content from public view, I need to set the club to "closed club". However, this is a problem because it creates an additional step in the payment process as the user must "request access" first and then wait to be approved by a moderator before making the purchase.... How can I create a "closed club" and the user gains access to the club by paying the membership fee... without the club moderator needing to approve the request to join first? Right now all my Invision apps are installed inside a folder named "/forum/" (as it seems to be right here: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/) However that means if I go to my blogs then the url becomes mydomainname.com/forums/blogs/ Is it possible to move the apps so that the blogs can be accessed directly from mydomainname.com? And so that I can use Pages to create for example a home page accessible from mydomainname.com ?

Hello, I have some questions regarding the issues that might occur if I upgrade from the 4.3.6 version to the 4.6. version. Can someone perhaps guide me into what I should expect ? I have some plugins, but not a ton, the theme is the normal one, just with some minor changes. (i.e. its not a custom theme) I have 2 licences the one is 4.3.6 and the other is 4.4.2 Is there a place where I can see how I can benefit if I do this upgrade? I am trying to understand how to create a simple page in Pages that would look like the content box of one of the default articles layout (white box with slightly rounded corners, text of default size), but without the header (title and author) and without the pagination or the comments at the bottom). So really, just one white content box with slightly rounded corners so that the page looks the same as the articles. I tried changing the Link color in the "Text" tab of my theme but that changes the color of the topic titles in the forums as well. Is there a way to change the color of only the links that are posted inside posts in a topic?

I'm missing something basic, but I just don't know what. (And I did try searching for this, but I've yet to find anything by googling it). We've created 3 tiers as subscriptions that are supposed to be renewed every month. The renew period is set, the (only) payment method is set to Paypal. I'm able to purchase the first setup, but after that the subscription just isn't renewed like I thought it should. What am I missing?

I am primarily interested in having clubs, forums, and pages. If I choose to buy self hosted, do I need to purchase "gallery" and "downloads" in order to have the club features called "files" and "images"? I migrated my forum from phpBB to Invision Community 20 days ago. My forum is my full-time job. The income from Ads is how I make a living. I have 130k topics, 800k topics, 400k monthly pageviews. While I absolutely love the Invision software, I am very upset that since the migration, my ad earnings are down by 30%. I am looking for help to pinpoint the issue or issues at play. Here are some symptoms I've noticed since the migration: Google search impressions (and clicks) are down. Number of page views is down. Ad RPM and RPS are slightly down. I'm trying to set up a simple blog. I am the only writer for now and perhaps I'll invite guest writers in the future. Similar to the Blogs on this site: https://invisioncommunity.com/news/ I'm not sure if it's best to do it in Pages or Blogs? Hello. I signed up for cloud hosting trial with invision. But how do we move data from an invision self-hosted forum to a the trial cloud setup? I don't see any conversion/migration tool included in the trial setup. Also what would be the ideal approach of backing up self-hosted invison community for restoration on the cloud hosted invision?
