Hello, Every month, I receive a lot of request from members who want to remove their subscriptions to the newsletter, the topic or forum tracking. Add the possibility to remove theirs choices for admin email, notifications of new posts and new topics would be a great thing thanks

I have been monitoring referals to my website for some months now and it seems that the only search engine derived traffic I am getting is to either my HTML pages or my Coppermine gallery. I have not detected one single hit to anything on either of my two licenced Invision Forums / Gallery / Blogs installations. My Art Forums have had quite a lot of content, for some time already - so I would have expected at least the odd hit from search engine derived traffic by now? Bring back the AJAX forum markers that were in the early 2.1 betas, not sure why they were removed. I remember Matt saying they'd be re-added for 2.2 or 3.0? Would be nice to have it for 2.2. I really dislike the page refresh when marking a forum as read.

If your familiar with WordPress then you'll of seen this many times, for those that are not, permalinks are a way of cleaning up the urls for posts etc. so a url like: forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?act=post&do=new_post&f=285 could become: forums.invisionpower.com/products-services/postnewtopic/ ----------------------------------------- any chance of a similar feature being implemented into IPB 2.2

In "Settings for group: Security and Privacy / Security [Managing Members]", I have set the following condition under New registration email validation: "User then Admin Validation" The instructions for this setting state that: "Make an administrator manually preview all new accounts or make new users validate their email address. If "User then Admin" validation is selected, the user receives a validation email. On successful user validation, the user is entered into the administration approval queue." This is what I want to happen BUT I also want an email notification sent to the root administrator only AFTER the user successfully validates his/her email address. …

I've read all topics opened but did't found no valid reply. I tried to block height in .CSS but image goes down over next post place. I think this shoud be usefull for all, boards with big images are boring and dangerous. Limit with blocked size that cut off bigger images would auto-correct images by users by theirselves :thumbsup: Any suggestion? I need this help on 1.3 board, I'm going to buy license for 2.1.6 but still like to understand how to fix o:)

Currently IPB does not allow admin to set a limit on the size of an individual photo or file upload only the maximum size of a message. To me that is a nearly useless feature and a much more logical approach woudl be to allow a setting that limits the size of each file uploaded. With current settings my users can upload 10x 50K images or ONE 500k image and I have no way to prevent this unless I limit message size to 50k or allow only 1 file per post. Another related feature would be to limit or auto resize images posted as links. This becomes a serious problem for low bandwidth users as posts could potentially link to seriously bloated image sizes. If the board cou…

As you may or may not know, vBulletin 3.6 Beta 1 is now running on the vB Community Forum. One of the new features is AJAX thread rating. As the name implies, upon rating the thread, the page is instantly loaded without refreshing, and the updated average rating of the thread is displayed. Again, with no page refreshing. I think this would be a nice feature to be added into IPB 2.2 or 3.0. It's also another well implemented way of using AJAX. :thumbsup:

I was checking out Vb 3.6 and I noticed they had added a signature upload to add images in your signature. Would this be at all possible to add to 2.2? Also, another idea would be to add a Signature gallery similar to the Avatar gallery. Members could pick and choose what sig they wanted and it would be displayed in their sig area. If these could be done it would be great! :)

Might be a ncie idea where the Post Editors width and PM Editors width (admincp >> Tools & settings tab >> Topic Posts and Polls) could be placed somewhere for each individual skin Some skins require this to be changed and some don't so if it could be placed in each of the skin settings that would be a great help (that way can alter these widths per skin without it affecting other skin) ?? Hope above makes sense ?

quick copy and paste at templates

I and a lot more users are using third party software to design the templates such as dreamweaver. When doing so, i always select all text, copy it and then paste is into dearweaver. after I am done with it, I select all, copy it, and then go back to the control panel to select all and then paste. Wouldn't it be a lot cooler if the control panel had two buttons, one for select all and copy and one for select all and paste?

OMG, i have just been using some other thing and it has the best feature ever......... TOGGLE CSS EDITING! Basicly, you have your page infront of u and then u can double click on a certain bit of that page and then you have a dhtml window popup letting you edit the CSS properties of that bit you had double clicked on, it can make styling IPB a hell of a lot easier! Hello! Would it be possible to layout the portal code so that the affiliates block comes after the main content (the news articles) (but the visual layout stays the same), as I have an image hot-link there which leads to a site which often is slow and sometimes is even completely broken (yes - I need that hotlinked image there)? That would also be better for search engines, I guess, for picking up the most important information on the page first. Thanks!

Currently I am using IPB 2.1.6 and I would really like to see some improvements for the ban filters. For instance, in the Administrative Control Panel there should be a way to make a note next to the ban filter for admins to see so we can look at who is banning and why they are banning the individual. Also when you click to edit a member and view all IP addresses from that member, there really should be a way to ban the member's multiple IP addresses from that point. Finally, I do have one suggestion not related to the ban filters, but because I need it I would really like to see this happen in the next couple of releases.
