eyedam
Hello! Would it be possible to layout the portal code so that the affiliates block comes after the main content (the news articles) (but the visual layout stays the same), as I have an image hot-link there which leads to a site which often is slow and sometimes is even completely broken (yes - I need that hotlinked image there)? That would also be better for search engines, I guess, for picking up the most important information on the page first. Thanks!
bfarber
This is something you should be able to accomplish on your own via the skinning system.
eyedam
Well, of course it is. Theoretically, I can change everything on my own. Only I need to estimate and compare the possible benefits with cost it would take me. And it's really not that important for me to get down to redesigning the code and making non trivial skin changes with every IPB update. This just is a good practice and can be seen lately be used more and more often (using more "div"s and put more important stuff first for accessibility and search engines), so I though IPB could go with it too (by default) for all their customers' sake. eydam P.S. I forgot to mention in my previous post where is the problem with the current layout if I have a non-working hot-linked image in the affiliates box
