If you increase the height of the fast reply by one level, the button to decrease its height will not work. The button works fine on larger sizes, but the fast reply box cannot be brought back to the default height.

The forum I run has a mix of public and private (member-only) categories. Right now, if you allow RSS feeds to be generated for a particular category, EVERYONE can view them, even people who don't have access to those categories. I would really love it if we could have some RSS feeds generated only if you enter your forum username and password to authenticate. Then you would be able to access RSS feeds for all of those categories you have access to. As it stands, I can only offer RSS feeds for the public categories because I don't want everyone to see the posts in the private area.

Using the new editor in mods

I'm working on converting a mod for 2.1 and the old mod used the editor. Now in 2.2, I get the following error at the top of the page: IPB WARNING [2] usort() [function.usort]: Invalid comparison function. (Line: 384 of /sources/handlers/han_parse_bbcode.php) My guess is that I have failed to load a necessary cache. I know that developers docs are coming, but is there any chance on getting some insight as to what I've failed to do in my code? I was using the standard code from here to load up the editor in my code.

How about starting with the look itself. While there are some amazing changes the beta appears the same as 2.1 really. Perhaps start with subtle changes, I was thinking a darker blue? I actually thought 2.2 was going this route when staff images here turned up and looked really good. Dang, I just forgot a bunch of ideas I had! Oh well. Oh, I liked that bar under the smilie table for formatting and now it is gone. Edit: There was one thing, I'd like to see next to the total amount of members "active members" or "active" total, which you can turn off/on and pick which groups to use and which to ignore in the tally.

Okay, I am trying to get some of this skinning stuff figured out. I am sure it might change, but am toying with it anyways. Anyways...for the post area, I am trying to find in the CSS where some .rte-* sections are at. I don't see them in the normal CSS, so I am stumped. Is there some CSS that is loaded with the JS that I just don't know about or what? Thanks in advance! Toby B.

looking through the admin CP I was suporsed wehn I didn't see the mac number of PMs in the PM settings. but was hoping it would of heen added to the member group settings. is there any chance this will happen?

I filed a few bug reports yesterday, 3 dealing with the blog and 1 with the IPB the board one is missing, it was about an issue with the help and support tab in the acp, not being able to login to the client center because of a wrong url trying to goto httpss instead of https i even searched to see if it was moved somewhere nothing, i cant find any evidence of the ticket in the bug tracker

Currently in the forum permissions you have show forum and read forum, with show forum turned off you can't read the forum either. Would it be possible to be able to read the forum if show forum is turned off or will this conflict somewhere. The reason is I don't want the trash forum and other forums cluttering up the forum for me and its a hassle to rearrange permissions each time I need to look into said forum.

Theres one thing i don't understand about discussion boards, and thats why they all miss a really convinient way to keep track of the threads you posted in. Yes, i know i can subscribe, and i know i can search for posts by my name, but it's really NOT as quick and usefriendly as i want it. The subscription feature is only useful when i REALLY need to keep track of a topic. Searching is a lot of work... There is currently no limit on the number of characters in the topic title textbook, but the maximum number of characters in a topic title is still there. Would it be possible to have a limit on the number of characters in the text box equal to the maximum number in a topic title?

Use IPD-style interface for IPB 3.0 Options Not just the design, but the whole folder dragging and dropping thing. It will make tasks such as forum management much easier to handle and really push IPB ahead of the league for forum software. :) My vision for Invision: IPB should be designed for ease of use while allowing for a lot of features. Make every task easy and hassle-free, but provide a wealth of options in the process (but not to the extent where it becomes bloated with useless features). Skinning is one area that I think needs more focus on in terms of ease of use.

When I try to add or view admin notes it will say 'connecting to invision.homeip.net' and then time out. Why does Public Beta 2 remove the .htaccess security?

In Public Beta 1, IPB could automatically configure .htaccess files to your ACP location to keep it protected. This features appears to have been removed in Public Beta 2. But why is this? I found it useful. Has it been moved elsewhere?

I would really like to see a new view of the forums implemented. Right now we have IPB in full color with all the bells and whistles OR a bare-bones, very limited functionality Lo-Fi version. I'd like to have a graphic-rich version of the forum that doesn't rely on Javascript, DHTML or AJAX or other dynamic components without sacrificing important functionality. As it stands now (and IPB 2.2 appears to be getting worse in this regard), if you have javascript turned off in your browser you cannot access certain critical features. For example, if I want to log in as administrator and edit a member's profile. I can't do that, because the item that creates the drop-down men…
