    I am so restless. Really want to convert my live board to 2.2 format. As I can see from the installation on this site and other sites, there are no major bugs or security breaches overall. Maybe some will be reported as people start using it. :restless_to_upgrade: o:)

    I created a differences report on my skin... And it told me how to remove my changes. As a modder, I dont see how that would even help me. Why would I want to remove my changes? What would be nice is if there was a way, when generating differences, it to REVERSE it and show how to MAKE the changes. The only way for me to do what I want to do is put my changes into the root skin and make the default as "changed". Really doesnt make any sense. I understand this might be helpful as it is to help someone upgrade, but it would be useful to developers who make mods.

    My admins are getting really angry about all the spambots that are joining our forums and they suggested that I limit registrations to only allow emails from hotmail, yahoo, and gmail. I know this currently isn't a feature but could something like this possibly be implemented before the 2.2 release? Or maybe there is a feature that I'm overlooking that will stop the spam bots from joining my forums. If it isn't possible to get into 2.2, then you can move this to feature suggestions.

    will any of the main templates like skin_Globle and foooter change much? Can I start designing my skin for my board I have 2 Questions. 1 How would I get the search in a custom sub minu an ecaple of what I plan on doing http://www.animeonline.net/forum.php As you can see. I have text links along the top beside the image. seeing as IPB dosen't have the navbar meinu below How would I add the search dropdown to something like that. 2 Will a CSS chart be posted in how to change colors on the board?

    Guys just purchased lifetime perpetual license for Invision Forum :) Now for life with Invision. Look no furthur. After using Invision forum for > 6yrs I came to this conclusion that this is money well spent, especially keeping in mind that these guys give some % of what they get to the relief funds also. Which I think is nice. Pl move this thread to appropriate forum if this is not the right one. :whistle:

    Hello, In bete 2.2 you should make it so that when it gets your topics it allows you to post dynamic images. Most RSS feeds use dynamic images so your pretty much screwed. Could you make it so that admins or you can assign someone manually to use dynamic images so I can get my rss to work? Evil Penguin

    The idea is add "cache_global" to the "cache_store" table and when "$load_global" is passed through the load cache function it would use "OR cache_global=1" in the query. The "$load_global" setting would be set to true when used in the index.php and admin.php wrappers. The "$load_global" variable would be the last optional parameter. If it is at all possible to add to 2.2 I will be really really happy. I had talked to Matt about this several weeks ago, and I think it was forgotten... Having this developer option would allow me to cut out 25% of the code I have in my board wrapper code (which some I do not feel comfortable with because I have to re-write the member bar),…

    When clicking links or adding reply/new topic buttons I keep getting this error: Forbidden You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Apache/1.3.36 Server at www.forums.invisionboard.com Port 80 --------- Also sometimes the page turns white as if I were viewing lofi version.     I think under "Admin-> Statistic Center" there should be an over-view of certain statistics like registration, topics, and posts, etc... using the bar/chart system the gallery is currently using.

    I dont know about you but that looks rather.... out of date... Click on "Search for user names".... Doesnt really look that good... What I would suggest doing is add a single line text box with type-ahead with an "Add" thing and add it to a multi-select list box thing. That popup window really doesnt match stuff...

    i don't have ipb but i do know that there is a mod for a menu dropdown. this would be convenient if you implicated this as a feature. you can add into some menu some options for what goes where and different menus. i always loved those style dropdown menus cuz im a member of a lot of ipb sites and i usually notice how convenient it is when all the links are in one menu. :cool:

    A few things that bother me about this. #1) Blog entires displayed do not show the blog entry title like "Topics" do. #2) An external linked blog you can no longer get to from the profile. "No Entires" is displayed. Would suggest having a link under that tab, or (better yet) allow a member to provide a RSS feed from their external blog to show entires there from it. #3) When the square was first added for the date it only had month and day. Now it has years. Before it was more square. Now with the year it looks a little "screwy" as a rectangle. I noticed this a while ago, but it keeps bugging me. #4) Topic titles under "Topics" should be linkable, but not change the look…

    Every once in a while on my site we will update our Rules / Policies & Guidelines. When a member registers they agree to these policies and guidelines. Minor changes are ok, but when you have some big changes you may want to have the member re-agree to the rules. So it would be kind of neat to have a thing where when all the memers are set to agree to it again (not new registered members after) they have to agree to the new policies and guidelines before doing anything else.

    This might be a good idea. for those using Sigma or Parsa chat but what about an IRC plugin and allow rules and agreement to be agreed to before the member can join the chat. an agree or disagree button at the bottom they disagree to the terms they are sent back to the board indeas. if they agree off to the chat they go?

    I strongly suggest IPS add the QQ Identity into the Contact Information of the member profile. QQ is an instant message software which has 5.490 hundred million registered accounts. QQ.com is the 5th of Alexa. The QQ logo: , I made the logo in the size as same as others in IPB, you can use it directly.

    Here's a couple in addition to the many ideas/suggestions I've had already. Some of these are based on modifications for 2.1 previously. Forum Permissions where the poster and staff (or whomever) can see their own topics but not other people's. I forget where I saw this but it was great for a reporting/contact staff area, and has potential for alot of other stuff. After total members it would be nice to see Active members, which in the ACP you could set which groups it bases it on. For example I could have it exclude my "inactive" membergroup.     I know I saw this requested in teh 2.2 feedback forum but seeing as the features are locked for that version I would like to suggest that a full edit button be put in the quick edit beside the "Complete Edit" button make it easy on switching to full edit a bit faster

    I think this would be nice it would give members and admins more flexible control over their sites. ether allow the user to set the profile up the way they want it or have the admin set it as a default where only they can edit it.
