In the upgrade pack, there's no sources/sql/mysql_tables.php and sources/sql/mysql_queries.php actually there's no sql folder inside the source folder of the upgrade pack

I've tried to change my email address (because i don't use the old address) and now i'm unable to login. I've sent 5-6 email to all sells, billing... nobody doesn't care and nobody doesn't want to see - at least - what's going on... why i've never received the confirmation email?

Hello! I am italian, i'm sorry for my english :rolleyes: I have a problem. When I load skin images, the ACP create the folder in style_images but this is empty. Infact, images are not loaded in folder, so I can't view skin correctly. How can I resolve?

Hi I am intereseted in purchasing ipb becuase I saw some other boards had it and I liked the features on it. Currently I own a smf board and they made a realease for smf 2 which seems really cool but seems like ipb already has these features. It also seems easy to retrieve themes and install mods on smf how is this with ipb. Why should I switch to ipb compared to smf?

Show Dropdown Skin on Portal

In the forum "System Settings/View All General Settings", then in the "IP Portal" setting. There is an option called "Enable skin selection choice dropdown?". How exactly does this setting work. I see by default it's turned on to show the choice of skin menu in the footer I think, but when I turn it off, it doesn't seem to have any effect in removing it from the footer. Is this option not working, or am I missing somthing in how it works? Do you need more than one skin installed for example for that setting to work. Or should it be removed from the footer even if you only use the default skin. Can somebody explain how this setting is suposed to work and what it does.

Hi, I just went into my client center and downloaded a copy of 2.3 incase there were changes since I downloaded it when it first came out. I noticed the zip file contained 15th June, from which I assume the php files were updated on the 15th. I plan to upgrade and install numerous modifications which requires extensive editing of the source files. So question is, are the files going to be frequently updated? As if it is, I might hold off from upgrading.

Hello, I'm having a problem with my messaging system, when I click on a PM I get this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: member_joined() in /home/*****/public_html/forums/sources/ipsclass.php on line 5911 okay, so what I really want to know is what file should I re-upload for it to be fixed? I don't want to go around uninstalling/reinstalling all my mods.. Any ideas? Thanks in Advance.

Single sign-in with Apache?

Hi, Notwithstanding the support for LDAP/Active Directory (which I have yet to get going), has any thought ever been given to support single sign-in via Apache? For example, Apache could handle the sign-on against Active Directory and then IPB could auto-creates user accounts for users it sees the first time. This is the approach taken by some other software eg the wiki MoinMoin. Ian

Skype has become immensely popular, right? And after all, they are using IPB, so why not add a Skype field? When you click the Skype field, im not sure what the protocol is, something like skype: or callme:, which opens up the persons Skype id in Skype. I known it's a mod, but it deserves to be standard.

Hi, Well, I have a dilemma with IPB 2.3.0, my categories show the 'Board' section of themselves. For example my category is set to act like a category, as usual, but below the subforums (The forums in the category) it shows announcments, pinned messages and threads etc. I've tried changing the category to act like a forum, to act like a category again, i've made it into a forum and turned it into a non-posting thing (Underneath the read only setting). And it turns it into a category again but doesn't work. Any help please?

When adding a recurrent event, it would be most practical to have the option to set it without end date (selectable). Consider if you want to add Christmas as a holiday, then you want that to occur every year from now to ... well, to the end of time really (or until you remove it). As it is now, you have to specify an end date regardless... not a good thing.

As I have mentioned before, we are using a different board software and we are thinking about switching to IPB. One of the most important aspects in our decision is how IPB gets indexed by major search engines like google. I think that this board (IPB company board) is not very well indexed. This board has around 1,100,000 posts and only 276,000 posts are indexed. 1. Is there a certain reason for that? 2. Does anyone get better results with their IPB board? Our current board has 320,000 posts and 238,000 posts are indexed. We don't wanna loose all that traffic after we are reindexed.

We are thinking about switching from vb to invision board. Our current board software is pretty fast and I am not sure if IP.Board can keep up with that speed. While I am browsing here at this board I actually have to wait pretty often between 4-25 seconds until a page loads. This happens eventhough it says at the bottom of the page that the queries took less than a second. What's the cause of that long waiting times?
