I went to go manually edit the template for my skin, but strangely I had a lot of the edits already done on my skin...?

Which skin? The Pro?

The Pro skin does have edited templates (compared to the master skin), so they show edited.

Not downloaded it yet

look like it a big file

Downloading now but will have to wait to install because I'm running a Virus Scan at the moment which takes ages.

I need to get rid of the picture of smithers...? :P ;)

I think the choice of colours have been wise because it’s neither intrusive nor dull looking.

Just finished upgradeing my board, no problems to report I'm impressed with the new look of the admin cp and the new skin :)

I have juat started downloading it now

No, I'm talking about using the manual template difference report against my current 2.2.2 skin...

Have downloaded.

Break for dinner.

Created the directories whilst having a cigarette and a coffee.

Filed nails and applied polish.

Commenced file uploads.

Admired colour of polish and played with hair.

Read over instructions again, then remembered I was a girlie and a blonde one at that.

Put in a request to Support to install for me

Tee hee

Well I would like a play by play of anyone going from 2.1.7 -> 2.3

I had to delay my upgrade while I waited for a unique component for vehicle registry to be finished and now that it has gone to GPL and I am part of the team helping to build it, I am a lot happier, I know without a doubt it works on the v2.2.2 as we just got done testing it.

See more of it here at http://www.fusionscripts.com/products/fusion_registry/

Today I am testing it under 2.3.....however I am very curious to know how the 2.1.7 -> 2.3 IPB upgrade works

Do you (IPS) really think it's a good idea to make custom BBCode pre-parsed? OK, it reduces parsing time when loading topics, but firstly, this means you need to rebuild all posts (and signatures, PM's, etc.) after an upgrade to make any custom BBCode in older content (i.e. before the upgrade) actually work. And secondly, surely this means that if you every modify the HTML for an existing BBCode, you will need to rebuild all posts?

Is their an upgrade package or do we just download and overwrite from the Full Install? I don't have anything appearing under upgrade packages?

Just upload the new files and then run the upgrader (./upgrade/)

Is there no 2.2.2 > 2.3.0 upgrade pack? :(

Is there no 2.2.2 > 2.3.0 upgrade pack? :(

There is usually one available, quicker than uploading the whole package.

Read the posts RIGHT above yours.

<LI>New "Pro" Theme designed to make designing new skins easier

Can someone expand on this for me? How does it make designing skins easier?

Um,.... Just out of interest, what were the four new settings within 2.3?

I just downloaded it, Looked at install instructions and thought  and submitted a ticket! :D

The dashboard is quite impressive.
