I have just bought i.p board2.3 a standard liscence...$149.99 The support ticket people have said, they will happily install the board for me. I'm having trouble with giving them back this info? Now from that i'm not quite sure what i've bought? Have i bought an upgrade, because all i want is an ip forum? We are curently on invisionfree. Sorry if i'm sounding stupid about it, but i'm really confused Please help :(

In each the Board, Gallery and Blog the ability to cross-polinate. Example: From a topic and/or post the ability to blog it. When creating a topic and/or post the bility to insert an image from the gallery or link from your blogs. From the blog, the ability to link a topic or post and insert a gallery image or photostrip. From the gallery the ability to start a topic or blog post. ;)

I would love to have the Board portal operate much like the current blog set up with drag and drop functionality. Also, more content box options would be nice such as: [*]Topics - The ability to choose the forums this comes from. The ability to have them listed by most recent post. Just a small change i'd like but one i think is important. I'd like the icon showing that you've posted in a topic to be alot more obvious i often overlook it and forget its even there because its so subtle. Make it a bit more obvious like a bit of colour or change the icon identifier to a star or summit i dunno i leave it to you rikki. Oh and add it to the legend because for non ipb users its kinda rocket science at the moment.

I have some ideas for ipb3, hope some of them will be taken to development :) warning system: I think that the current warning system is very primitive and alomst hasnt been changed since 1.x. It must be upgraded! 1. Banned group - why is it there, if the banned user group isnt being automatically replaced to the banned group? I dont think there is someone that changes the user group to banned and then changes back when the user returns. 2. It could be nice to have the option of warning templates. for example, i make a template with text and X% warn for spam, and every time that somebody is doing spam i give it to him, and thats it. 3. We should be able to increase attachment space per thread per group. I tried to upload the company administration documentation manual so my admins could download it and it was to big, and I had no way to allow myself more room

Add the ability in the group (or member) permissions area to give said group permission to see the hidden themes. Currently you have to give them ACP access (or so it appears to me unless I've missed something)

In my Nashville trip topic, I just had to try at least 10 times to get it to post because of the insanely low limit on the max number of emoticons and images per post that this forum has. The same happened to me on my forum, although I can obviously override that in he admin CP. I'm asking for the simple message to be modified from : "Sorry, but you have posted more images than you are allowed to." to something like "Sorry, but you have attempted to post a total of 13 (or some other number) images. The forum administrator only allows a maximum of 5 images per post. Please reduce your total number of images accordingly." The same should go for the emoticons, as…

There should be a pm feature available to moderators and administrators that allows them to check a box that makes the pms not take up space. So if a member pms an admin or mod requesting support on something, the PMs would not take up space on each-others box, so a member (or mod) does not need to worry about having to delete important PMs when ever they need to pm a moderator for support, or every-time a moderator gets contacted.

[IPB3 SUG] Anti Bot Built In

I think that IPB should install a better "anti-bot" system because to be honest the "captcha" w.e it is images are crap and they don't stop ALL the bots alot of bots still get through the "captcha" image so having something like the "what is 4 = 9? = " that system seems to work but im sorry the captcha is NOT 100% full proof so a better one would be nice

Currently, User validation and Admin validation are displayed together when I click "manage - Awaiting Validation" from ACP home. When I am tired or have just woken up, I sometimes make a mistake that I think I made it so that it is displaying Admin Validation only and click approve for all while reality was that it was displaying both user and admin validation. It is common for me to have over 50 validating users and it is painful to make such a mistake, so is it possible to not let "User validation" appear from approve page at all ?

Gallery: Is there a function for square thumbnails? If yes, then is it cropping or just squeezing the image? Can I upload images through FTP? I have a collection of thousands images and it would be very hard to upload them via web interface

Multiple Uploads

I mentioned this in a thread but it seems that it may have more chance of being noticed with a topic of its own. I was wondering if there is any chance with ver3.0 that we could have the ability to upload multiple attachments at a time in a post. Even (say) a maximum of three at a time would be good. It can be extremely painstaking process when you a have to do it one at a time and you have in excess of 10 attachments to add.

Adding Forum Moderators

I've noticed this recently. I have 30 team forums (NBA teams), and two subforums in each. I have a moderator per team. Well, adding the forum moderators, when they aren't all the same person, is very tedious. Removing them? Even worse. Maybe for IPB 3, that can be fixed...unless I"m missing out on a way to do this without having to click the "Show Moderators" tab and delete each individually.

problem with host or database?

i used the same database on my local machine and later on my web host. in admincp, the components tab gives me a database error. my question, is this covered by ipb? can i submit a ticket for this? or change my host? its not that a big issue but im kinda uncomfortable with having such errors. thanks.
