omg, this is starting to piss me off (no offense), I guess i have ordered 4-5 ipb licenses, and all has (not at-a-time) been disabled. I don't even get a email when they are disabled, so i can't know if u use a legal ipb or not... Well how comes that all my orders get listed as fraud?

how about a converter as a "Community Project" a volunteer developer or more can work together to create a super converter and since its a community project -watched by ipb team- members will trust it. I personally don't use 3rd party converters and current available converter cant deal with many scripts such as woltlab burning board v3

Suggestion for 3.X - PM display

Noticed this on another forum, but having a PM conversation displayed in the same way that any other topic is displayed, with separate posts one after the another, and not with a hundred different nested quotes that inevitably get screwed up when someone accidentally places one of the quote tags in the wrong place. So yea, each PM convo is displayed as a topic, I can't see it being a hard feature to implement, just take the code you have already for displaying topics and find a way to make it private to just two (or more) people. I think it would be nice to have a thread that would request the controls and features of the tagging system if added to IPB (might as well have it added right the first time than wait). 1. Control what forums can have topics be tagged and perhaps which to have the tag cloud show. 2. An optional tag page. 3. I can't say I want the tagging system mixed with the search... 4. Maybe an option to have it (it being the listing of topics) look like search results or a forum like view listing the topics.

I have three suggestions for improving ease of use of the powerboard platform. 1. Only show functions that the particular user has access to: While I think pretty much all features are available to all members here, on other forums using IPB, some of them aren't accessible by all members. However when this is the case it's not always clear because all the functions are listed in the control panel even if a user doesn't have access to them and because there is often no message indicating to the user that he or she doesn't have access to a particular feature, instead it usually just shows a blank screen. When you check the box in the new post window to enable topic tracking, it enables delayed e-mail notification by default without giving you the option to change it to something else. While that is exactly what the option says here, on some other forums using IPB it simply says "enable topic tracking." On those forums, automatically defaulting to delayed e-mail notification can be misleading, especially when there's no way to change it to default to a different type of notification. However even here it can be annoying, I prefer to not to be notified by e-mail of replies but to simply monitor it from my subscription board in the control panel. I don't understand why I…

IP.Blog , seriously is not competivie at all It positions itself "NOT a normal blog like", but don't we all here want our members use it as their own blog? It claims it is not competing with e.g. wordpress, but in reality, IT IS! I really think IPS should dump the IP.blog project and focus on developing Bridge module to some popular Blog scripts out there Wordpress and IP.Blog, which one our members will pick up? don't be afraid of losing $, you could charge bridge module too, so everyone is happy and you will even get MORE sales on IP.Board license. This is basically the convo I had with a "technical support" guru at IPB Since upgrading from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 IPB board on 26th oct 2008 it has come to my attention that no one can any longer register at our forums. Isn't that great? There were no instructions that one must sign up to recaptcha or do anything similar. I used the std keys that came with the upgrade which never worked " The Following Errors Were Found The registration code did not match the one displayed, a new code has been generated, please try again". Signed up at reCaptcha to get a public and private key and still get the same error. Reverted to normal captcha and found that no longer works either!…

Internal Captcha background image issue

Yesterday it came to my attention that no one was able to register after the upgrade to 2.3.6 I did October 3. Thankfully I found the fix here by eliminating the series of numbers/letters (-ra3X2RQB) in the ReCaptcha Private Key setting in the Tools/Settings. Now, there seems to be an issue where the background is showing several of the captcha backgrounds at once (see image). I thought it was difficult to read before. It sure is now. How can I fix this? I have the Captcha turned off. Instead, I am using an input box so bots cannot register/post. Will this all be corrected in 3.0? And will this be fixed so even I with above average sight will be able to even read the …

Moderators of my board had ability (in former board) to display posts from all forums (new - since last visit, or from X days) and moderate them (edit/delete/move) on one page. It is quite useful, especially for boards such as mine - where guest posting is allowed and moderators have much work to do ;)

Hello everyone I was just wondering if IPB will be making an add-on that we can add when converting our board from ipb 2.3.5 to 3.0.0 that will update all of the links that 2.3.5 uses to the working links that 3.0.0 will be using. I'd like to request the ability to lock a member's account and require that they click on a link in an email that is sent to validate their email address. This would be beneficial if you suspect a member's email address is fake, especially if you don't require email validation for registration.

Just visit IPB 3.0 and wondering whether gallery chould be BETTER integrated into IPB based on user friendly function such as 1. when posting on forum, posting screen allow you to open your own gallery on the same posting window, and memebrs browsing photos and only one cilck to insert photo into post. It’s getting really annoying when your board gets a little bit popular! You don’t have really powerful tools to block people who spam your board with there ads! I suggest developers will include one extra setting in ipb3 that allows you to set time that new users need to wait until they have the option to create a new topic or post. 7 days for example… I don’t think spammers have the pation to wait such a long time.
