ikillbill Posted November 18, 2008 Share Posted November 18, 2008 Just visit IPB 3.0 and wondering whether gallery chould be BETTER integrated into IPB based on user friendly function such as 1. when posting on forum, posting screen allow you to open your own gallery on the same posting window, and memebrs browsing photos and only one cilck to insert photo into post. I see new attachment system on IPB has "post it to post" button, but will it be nicer to select photos from gallery while posting? Otherwise, members have to 1. click new topic on browser window A 2. open gallery browser window B. Browse photos gallery, click photo, then get its bbcode 3. Then go back to window A, input bbcode 4. GO BACK to windows B AGAIN So, if one nice post are gonna with 10 photos, such as travelling experiences sharing, they have to go back and forth like more than 20 times @@? The preview site is run on a VPS (with multiple other sites on it), with limited CPU and memory available to it. This site is run on a dedicated server, for instance. Apples and oranges. ikillbill Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 check updated status again and still not see any major improvement from members' aspects such as improve "posting" action/experiences I personally don;t see why better warn system, which is backend management side, is more important than better members' easeness of usages The ROOT of forum is about "post" and "reply", if we need more than 100 clicks to post a article with text+image, members just refrain from posting and not to mention to join any social network functions 3.0 is adding.. I like to use the default on everything, but they need work on PROFILE page otherwise, the trend that we got with IPB right now will fly away... My users love the current IPB profile page and I have never seen this before.... They are spending more time on their profile page and having fun.... Trust me I have been using IPB long long time...
