I was just thinking about the bonuses of the rep system and had an idea.. What if to + someones rep it -ed yours... so configure it so if you register you start off with 5 REP and to rep someone it takes away from your rep and if you hit 0 you can't rep anymore until someone reps you.

I know this may sound weird but I think the sidebar arrow needs to have a "position: relative;" added into the CSS by default. While I don't mind adding it manually, this causes problems on sites where the width of the IPB Wrapper element is less then the width of the screen. When you shrink the size of the width the arrow stays floating way out on the right hand side of the screen, no where near the sidebar so it can be confusing. I think all that is needed to be added is the "position: relative;" to the CSS and it fixes the problem entirely. ^_^ Thanks!

I know there's a mod for it, but would it be possible to integrate a ban reason so when you ban a member you can specify a message/reason to show them if they try to visit? That'd be gr8 :) Ty :) ~Shadow

Its been asked before in the past and the response is usually something like "so many files have been changed downloading them all is easier". With minor version updates being released about every month now, could we just get an update patch of a few files rather then having to upload 2,000+ files each time?

Not really a big issue although I imagine it could save some embarrassment for very busy boards. If two staff are on a topic that is getting closed, one is typing up a reply while the other is done replying and closes the topic. If the one still typing a reply has access to still post in the topic even if it's closed, if they say something that contradicts or repeats what the previous staff member said, then unless it's caught, it could cause confusion or other problems. The idea here would be that if the reply button is hit when it's not labeled as closed, then when the post is finally made, it should be hidden to give the staff member a chance to review what's happ…

Before you hit back try and see it from my point, we have had IP board for around 7 years and now it my soon end? Chat is a joke, from my point of view I purchased this due to the fact things changed and I had to, ok can understand but why not provide a service first before you put it out and then find the problems? Now it seems I keep getting an issue with the license, I have not done a thing with the license and yet twice we have had errors and twice it

Just a suggestion to be able to change the Users online list at the bottom of the forums between - last click, and alphabetical. My members regularly used this block under vB to find their friends who were online, but now it is sorted by last click they can't use it this way effectively at all. They know they can click to see sorted pages of who's online, but it's extra clicks and covers multiple pages - a quick glance in alpha order and it's sorted (pardon the pun ... lol) Thanks, Shaun :D

After I gave restricted access to the AdminCP, the moderators are now listed as "Administrators" on "The moderating team" page. I would suggest to change this so that only proper administrators are listed as administrators.

Imagine this: - Create a topic "A" - Create a post "A1" under "A". - Create a topic "B" - Create a post "B1" under "B". - Create a post "A2" under "A". I need a RSS Feed that show 5 items, the posts/topic in cronological order: A2,B1,B,A1,A. I have IP.Board 3.1.1, but i can't find information or settings about that. It's possibile "out-of-the-box"? I'm a developer, any suggestion (patch-style) will be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been messing with ads and noticed that when you log in the ad is on top of a bottom border. It doesn't use the adjusting like the other parts of the board do. I'm not really sure how to explain this. I have tested this with Board and other themes and browsers, but it looks about the same. I have used <br /> before the ad in the bottom one, it affects all but the log in one for the bottom ad. Thanks, Helladen

Why o why guest and normal members can't see post authors warn level. Only moderators and admins see warn level of all post authors. in templates / userInfoPane: <if test="authorwarn:|:$author['warn_percent'] !== NULL"> $author['warn_percent'] is not empty (zero or more) only if admin or mod is viewing post. If guest (or normal user) is viewing post the $author['warn_percent'] is empty (or not set / NULL??). Is there any way to always show user warn level? PS.: SORRY FOR BAD ENGLISH

Hi. I just wanted to say how fantastic the staff here have been. The few times I;ve put in a ticket, I get speedy replies, even if it takes more than a day, and when it does, the staff are kind and apologize, and even reply faster to my ticket (wait and get more!). What I also enjoy is talking directly with the staff about things, and just chilling in general. I think the way they handle issue, especially public ones is quite well, and they tend to just say stuff that makes the person flaming them just end up shutting up and not knowing what to do. Why did you guys remove the function to close topics by clicking on the icon to the left of the topic titles? Any why is the new way of closing a topic from forum view not ajax anymore? That's a step backwards imo. :( Also, unable to edit topic description from forum view. Why remove these functions?

I wanted to give an idea in which one day could be made ... Instead of banning a group to do whatever it is, why not ban a specific member? For example if I do not want that a member can not see certain categories, I have to do this for one group, and should make to edit the member individually, why not do something to be able to edit the member individually?

I am sure this is true of many people, but Google indexes the lofi version very well and I get a lot of incoming traffic from there. Also when you consider advertising income on the lofi pages this is actually a fairly significant dollar figure that would be eliminated. The click through rate from what I have seen is much higher on the lofi pages versus the regular forums. Thoughts?

put a frame on the topic edited .. Well baby one more change MyBB forum has a very good function, esa function is the member to edit a topic taller than 500px or 600px gets a frame, which is very good, so that the member who will not edit will occupy too much of the page, and will tain same as it is to repeat the original post ... I will have luck? vao make me comfortable?

Multi-moderation can already unapprove topics. Now that soft-deletion is available, it should also be able to soft-delete them. Also, Flag As Spammer should be able to soft-delete instead of unapproving... it was very handy in vBulletin to delete a member's posts and ban them all at once.

I have a test board setup using 3.1.1 and made two accounts to test some settings. Has the way messages get marked read changed since the 2.3.x versions? I notice I can post something new under one account, and then log on under the other one and it shows all messages already read. The only thing that is the same on both accounts is the IP address. Even when logged out, and on as guest it shows marked as read. So I decided to log on via my phone (Android) and low and behold, the messages were marked NEW on the phone as a guest. I have two people in the same household (IP Address) that read the forums, both admins and this wouldn't work out that good. If this i…

Okay, it says not recommended if your board isn't visited daily. So thats 2 nots, thus meaning if your board is visited daily use it. Or I'm so confused. Could this be reworded? I don't know what I should put it on. (My board is visited daily)
