Hello, First of all, i understand that the system is designed to work strictly as a Question and Answer system, where the first post is the "question" and the subsequent replies are "answers". But like we have seen here on ASK IPS and i've seen it on my Test Board, and probably in every board, many people will discuss with normal replys to some answers. So i only see 2 solutions. Or there is a way to reply to a answer without that replay being sorted by rate, or create an option where we can choose the default we want, Date or Rate. Sorry i forgot to post it on this site. I was viewing the css in IPB4 and what i noticed was the amount of use of the !important declaration. The first thing you need to know is why its bad. Its bad because instead of working in an order you can now override that and if some one does the following it becomes clear. #example { font-size: 14px !important; } #container #example { font-size: 10px; }In this example #container #example should be 10px but because of the !important in #example it will be 14px. Hi i have recently tryed to login on this board unsuccesfully, it was keep saying that it dont find any account associated with my email.This was happening when trying to login from the right upper corner.I have sent two messages on contact us,anyway like usual no response.WTF is this? I login under ipb346 i think,where the client area is ,from the menu IPS Clients,but when i go on forums,downloads,etc(on V4.0) i was not logged in.I managed to login on one popup window from downloads.This board is way worse than the old one.Thanks. Just upgraded to 4.0 and I've noticed a numbers of forum categories and their sub categories/forums are not showing to guests. This means all the topics within them are returning a 403 error. This did not appear to manifest on my test install but is now a problem on my live board. I've checked, rechecked, and checked again the permissions, but there is apparently no difference in the permissions between the forums visible to guests and invisible to guests. Any suggestions as to where I might look next? This is a potentially very damaging SEO issue if I don't diagnose it quickly.

Hi all, ive been testing out IPS 4 and have to let go of my 2Cents... I just feel disapointed! We are happy to release the Release Candidate of IPS Community Suite 4.0.0! This means we have left the beta stage where things are unsupported and known to be broken and enter the period between that and final. The Release Candidate phase allows us to partially support the Suite without committing our full resources to it. This step also means that there will still be some bugs in the system but they should not be major issues any longer. You can download IPS Community Suite 4.0.0 RC1 in your client area. IPS Community in the Cloud clients can request upgrades through support. If you are using our Chat product please note that it is not yet available for version 4.0.0 so…

I'm a bit confused about the new IPB 4 online users system. I've checked the permission in the applications module in ACP, and I can view online users on the actual online users page, but they're not showing up on the board index. Hi all, I've tried a search (tried a few times to be honest!) but cannot find an answer to my problem. I've purchased a licence version and all installed well, however I want to change the skin to something more in keeping with what I have in mind but when I log in to my AdminCP I cannot find anywhere the Look & Feel > Manage Skin Sets & Templates link! Below are two screenshots of options in my AdminCP, I've reduced the size to fit the screen - I used to use the Invision boards back before they were charging for the license (boy has it changed!!) but now want to use them again and just spent $175 without much success.

So far I have been deleting accounts manually after being asked by members. Is there an easier way so that members can delete their own account in their profile where it would put the account in a "to delete" queue and it would be possible on the ACP to delete those accounts in one swoop instead of having to manually do them one by one? The reason you would want a soft delete is in case someone's account it hacked but shouldn t the functionality for members to delete their own account be there anyway?

I am playing around with Commerce and the discount area... I have discounts dependant upon quantity purchased from some of my stock. So for example: I have an item that is $519 for 1+ but if they buy 5+ or more they are $269 a piece.... then another break at 10+ for $239, 36+ for $217 and 100+ @ $199. I have tried settings every which way and have not been able to get it to do a discount on amount purchased only. So 5 items should cost $1,345 and not $2595 Am I missing something?
