Hello, I just converted from vbulletin and i'm looking for a way to display ads inside the first post. I tried search but couldnt find a resource. Do you display ads inside the posts? Can you tell me how to do it? since im new to ipb i can't find correct htm file to edit yet. And i have no idea about the conditionals to use in ipb for the first post in the forum.

Since the 4.2.1 update when I upload an image and I want to place it in line, like *here* I go with my cursor to there and click on the +-sign in the image. The image gets posted there, but is shows twice now! Like it also appears as attachment. It never did and it should not. How do I fix this?

Hello, I'm having trouble with my 4.2.1 IPB and support are taking their sweet time to answer my ticket (not sure if they are just asleep and don't do 24/7 service). The problem happened when I tried to install Name 2 Avatar. 4.2 Commerce Subscription Major Marketing Feature Missing If you're using commerce for subscriptions, a major marketing opportunity is missing should someone decide NOT to renew. Currently, the only option that you have is move expired members back to their original group or not. There should be an option to move expired members to a group of your choosing. Now that the IPS Chat module has been gone for a while, does anyone have a recommendation for a stand alone replacement product that they like? I'd also be interested in those that are not recommended. I've read the threads here regarding the topic, but I don't see much in the way of reviews after use. We're a small, college sports-based board and use our chat room mainly for getting together during football games, so we don't need anything powerful or expensive, just something that integrates easily with IPS. TIA!

I searched ftp files to edit html in one of my pages, i created, but I had no luck finding. I want to remove a head banner advertisement on one of the pages I made. This is the only page, I don't want the banner showing. I'm not sure if I am going in the right direction. Any help is greatly appreciated.

4.2.1: View Signatures Turned Off ? It appears that when you create a new group(s) based off the default member group to promote members from one group to another or for subscriptions, members in the new group can no longer view signatures. ^ I found this setting, which enables signatures, but is there one for viewing signatures based on member groups? ^ When I go into the default member group and view a member's profile, the view signatures is turned on. ^ When I view members from newly created group (based off the member group), all members have view signatures turned off. Is there something that I am missing here…

There used to be a way to see big files and remove them if need be in the Gallery as an admin. I need to find and remove some big files via the software in Gallery. I can do it via the server, but then it creates broken links, etc. in the Gallery. Is there a way to still do this in the Gallery? Thanks!

Just a quick heads up that if anyone else is using aMember integrated with inVision then the aMember plugin isn't compatible with 4.2. 4.2 drops the member_login_key field from core_members - and aMember uses this for syncing data. I have logged a support request with aMember.

I'm bumbling around trying to get a last-edited line to show by default on record display. The database is set up wiki-style and I want good visibility of when the last change was made and by whom. Members have 'ability to edit silently' turned off at group level. When I edit as admin I see a checkbox to 'Show that the message has been edited' — I guess I'd like the equivalent of having that checked by default for every user. If I log in as a test user it doesn't show any edits I make. Just upgraded to 4.2....it was easy to promote posts to Facebook, etc. with a click of a button at the bottom of my forum. They have now disappeared? Also, how do I get that grid/table option to show up next to the New Post green button at the top of the forum? Thanks!

I've made a support ticket but thought I'd ask if anyone else has this problem. After upgrading to 4.2 the unread content feature is not working for quite a few of my users. It's working for me in Chrome, but not in Opera, even though the Invision Site (ie, this forum here) does work. Strange. Anyone else got the same problem?

Hi all! After upgrading to 4.2 the notifications stopped working.. It keeps loading when pressing and when you press ''View all notifications'' it gives an error. Page System log I tryed to change the unread notifications to 1 month but that didn't work. Also tryed to disable the news addon, did not work. Also.. I've tryed to update (rewrote) all IP files. Thanks in advance!
