  1. Would such a plugin already exist? I want to display a note/message to users when they attempt to, or before they send me specifically (Admin) a Private Message. I.e - please note this user does not offer Support - please post to the "Support Forum" by clicking here.
  2. I don't think I have ever expanded the System option in there - well there you go. Confirming I also have this listed twice - 4.6.11
  3. Also happens here on 4.6.11 but I always put it down to my custom theme. Usually opening the block manager, toggling it on and off fixes it.
  4. We love working with @DawPi - just about anything is possible with Invision and having Dawpi custom build a plugin for you. Be clear with your needs and communication, and the end result will be exactly what you wanted. Highly recommended.
  5. Fantastic plugin (should be Core), and wish I'd discovered it earlier. Thanks Adriano. If I only had one suggestion, it would be great to include/exclude particular sub-forums. In our case we would want to use it everywhere, excluding all Classifieds subforums. Otherwise, fantastic!
  6. We make great use of the Reporting system within our community, nurturing a self-moderation approach within the community itself. One feature that would make moderation more efficient, would be to have a button (perhaps directly under Status) to send a PM directly to the Reporter. We have to manually click on the member and then click Send Message. I know it's only a couple of clicks, but the easier it is the more often they would be followed up. Even better would be when you click the proposed "Respond to Reporter" button, it pre-populates the Subject with "Report Response: Thread Title Here".
  7. Interestingly, this error also started randomly appearing on my forum too within the last fortnight. Not enough for me to justify help from Support yet, but this thread just caught my attention.
  8. Unless, I assume, the setting has been selected on a sub-forum to not be counted in post counts?
  9. It's a good idea and seems a natural place for it to be. Maybe post it in Feature Suggestions? https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/499-feature-suggestions/
  10. We disabled this some time ago when FB changed things on their end, and accounts linked to our forum were having the display names changed to their real names randomly and automatically. It was quite concerning to the members, and us. I couldn't get to the bottom of it so we've left FB disabled ever since. Not even game to try and set it up again now.
  11. Well that sucks then. And with that, I'll leave it alone and leave my custom request out there in the wild for the taking 🙂
  12. Sorry to harp on about this, but something is not right within Invision. I went back and did some checking again on this today. Invision is reporting a member's location as Western Australia (they are in VIC). But I take that same IP address and check it directly at Maxmind, which as you say is what Invision uses, it is correctly reported as Victoria. There's something wrong somewhere in the Invision implementation.
  13. This applies to members that have already been part of an existing campaign that saw them upgraded from New Member to Member. However it is not working on members that have registered since this campaign was added either.
  14. I agree, I am sure there was once a way to trigger a rebuild for all members. The workaround I can see: Go into any member from Admin panel Click down arrow under Posts Click Recount Select Recount for all members Follow the same procedure for Reputation Level.
  15. Also willing to subsidise this being made 4.6 compatible.
  16. Some help please if you don't mind. I have had to re-install this recently and I don't seem able to recreate the processed correctly this time around. 1. We trigger an email to a member when they register with instructions on how to activate their account. They start (register) in the New Member group. They only have access to one sub-forum which forces them to introduce themselves. As soon as that post is approved by a Mod, we use Group Promotions to move them into the Member group. The first part of this (sending an email upon registration) is working perfect via Drip Campaigns. It's the next part I am getting stuck on. What I am trying to do is as soon as that member gets moved from New Member, to Member, I want to send them an email. This is how I have it setup currently, and it's not triggering: If you could tell me what I am doing wrong please? Thanks in advance! 🙂
  17. Group Promotions isn't working at all on 4.6.11 - so I'd stay on 4.6.10 until the next release.
  18. If I understand your request correctly, we do this with this app:
  19. As per this thread: By default, Invision uses Maxmind to report IP addresses of registrations and posts, however we have discovered this grossly inaccurate compared to other tools. The IPS Integration of Google Maps does not override this. I'm looking for a custom plugin that replaces this Maxmind functionality with something more accurate when you click on the IP address of posters (and new member registrations).
  20. Just putting this out there as a core inclusion, to improve the Geolocation against member registrations and posts. The current Maxmind implementation is totally ineffective, and the Google integration does not override this. This feature request comes by way of the support discussion here:
  21. In case anyone else is experiencing this, it has been acknowledge as a bug in Invision. Hoping a patch doesn't take too long as this is a fundamental feature required for our every day use.
  22. I was referring to @Jim M's comment that Support would not be able to modify their hosts file to be able to access our test server. We wanted to replicate the live install as much as possible. Configuring Invision to run on a different domain to that specified in the original installation is tricky at best. You may recall we had issues with this in the past and it was a nightmare. When bug finding, the last thing you want to do is introduce more errors and issues. I just found it annoying that Support would not be willing to make a 5 second edit to the hosts file in order to facilitate this investigation. In any case, the matter is redundant now, as you have stated your position as it not being an issue with Invision. I would have liked to know that before paying money and having the hosts spend a day spinning up a test server and duplicating our very large database over as requested in an earlier response. It is what it is. You can close this thread.
  23. Thanks @Jim M- to clarify, you're suggesting that even if implementing Google as suggested (and as per the Integrations page), that Maxmind is still responsible for the IP info? If so, then that makes sense and explains it. Thanks.
