  1. How can we determine if this is working correctly? I've gone through all the steps to implement Google via the admin panel. Yet, the results are no more accurate than they were before changing. Yet, as a matter of interest this morning I checked another registration. Invision(/Google) reports the user in USA. Yet, if I take that same IP address and check it here with Google, https://gsuite.tools/ip-location (one would assume it's using the same engine), it reports the user correctly as in Sydney, Australia. Can we be confident the Google Maps integration in Invision is actually functioning correctly? This is the thing. Presently, it's not even close.
  2. This really could not be any more difficult. It's costing me a small fortune already to have a duplicate server spun up, and all the data transferred. 😞
  3. This was my experience too. The members didn't get it. They couldn't understand the advantage of a club, when we could just have another or seperate sub-forum. There was a disconnect between the main forums and the clubs. In the end we reverted back to traditional sub-forums for more niche topics/areas of interest and disabled clubs. I wanted to like, I really did.
  4. It's not that simple unfortunately. This is a duplicated test server as requested - I don't want to change the stored access data for this site as there is another issue too that has been escalated to a ticket. The test server for this problem will require whoever is looking into it to modify their hosts file to access it.' It would be much easier if I could just continue this via email or PM directly with somebody please?
  5. Yep, 24 hours later, implementing the Google Maps option was no better at all. Odd though, that using NordVPN's IP Lookup is accurate when all others are not?
  6. For those not familiar, what does this actually mean? It will be included in a future patch or minor update? Or is it something we can obtain soon, separately? Should we just leave IndexNow disabled until that happens? Can we get some clarity for those that are not developers or inside the 'Team' please?
  7. @Matt - we are spinning up a test server and duplicated install to allow you to further investigate. Where can I send these access details?
  8. We did something similar a few years ago. Don't expect too much to happen too quickly. It was at least 6 months before Google figured out exactly what changed, and reindexed everything accordingly.
  9. Hosts have checked server logs, and can't see anything out of the ordinary. We have a backup task that runs at 8:22PM and 2:00AM each day and lasts only a few minutes with only minimal impact on the server. Otherwise, nothing else of note.
  10. How do we expedite this, as we are having to manually check and change every single new member signing up currently?
  11. I won't get that response until tomorrow (midnight here). OK to reenable those disabled apps in the meantime then?
  12. No, those changes were after the rule should have triggered when another new member joined and should have been approved. I can do a test user manually now to prove if you like? @Marc Stridgen I just tested with a manual registration (Test User) and approval. Still not promoted to Member group. 😞
  13. I just changed it to "Exactly 1" instead of "More than 0" but no difference. Either setting in theory should be OK I would think.

  15. Maybe we spoke too soon @Matt. Donations app has since been disabled, and all the same error logs (both types) have just returned.

I am glad that the problem has been discovered in the core and it's obvious no third-party would have been able to discover this without your intimate knowledge of the software. I have taken your advice and disabled Donations, and will monitor the logs over 24 hours to see if there is progress there. I will pass on this information to our server techs too to investigate. Thanks again.
  17. I haven't changed anything. Is it because @Matt is currently looking at our other problem perhaps? Negative. .com We emailed requesting the .co.uk be removed from our account last year.

  20. Ahhhh. Thank you! I had to reset this up after the language pack change, and had overlooked the More than 1 instead of More than 0. Cheers.
  21. OK, how do we switch to using Google? I only turned on mapbox today - the results were exactly the same as the default IP system in Invision. Found it, thanks.
