  1. Ahhhh! πŸ₯² Thank you both so much. It looks more uniform on desktop and mobile now. πŸ™
  2. For transparency's sake – I amended the post to include that per the suggestion.
  3. Hey team, it's been 84 years (if you know you know), but... We're excited to announce that Invision Community 4.6.0 Beta 1 is officially live! πŸŽ‰ @Matt has a blog post on the way detailing all of the amazing additions, including how many commits and lines of code that were changed. A lot. The answer is a lot. Just to refresh your memories, some of the biggest changes/additions include: Achievements (Points!) Web app and Push notifications Anonymous Posting when posting as a member Highlight Topics with replies from specific Groups Spam Improvements (And more!) It's available per request for Cloud customers or, if you're self-hosted, by manually downloading it. Self-hosted: please make the necessary backups before upgrading. Because this is a Beta, please understand there is an inherent risk when upgrading. The more information/feedback we get, the better we can optimize and improve things πŸ™‚ If you find something and would like to submit a bug, please do so here. Looking forward to hearing what you think! Sound off in the replies below.
  4. Hey there. I tried adding this code last night but I'm not sure it changed the Our Picks blocks on desktop to be the same height. Maybe I did it wrong? πŸ˜… body[data-pageController='ourpicks'] div[data-role='patchworkItem'] div.cPromoted { border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; border-color: #232323; } @media screen and (min-width: 980px) { height: 450px; border-width: 1px; border-style: solid; }
  5. Hey there. Thanks for the tip! Wondering, what browser are you using? It shows like this for me 😬
  6. Hey again. Wondering, is it possible to apply this rule to work only when viewing from a desktop? But not on mobile?
  7. Oh snap I missed it! This is awesome πŸ₯² Thank you for following up with the nudge. One other thing that'd be super awesome... To set X amount of words/characters before a '...' pops up so it can never be longer than two lines. I know it can be done manually when promoting, but it'd be nice to have it know to do that. Something like this:
  8. Ahh thanks for passing this along! You guys are certainly teaching a man how to fish. I have a lot on my plate at the moment so I'm not sure when I can check this out, but I'd like to! Perhaps someone here can simply help me figure out how to force each Our Picks content item to be the exact same size via custom.css. Any help there would be greatly appreciated πŸ˜‡ Nailed it btw πŸ˜†
  9. !!! Thank you mysterious benefactor πŸ‘€
  10. 😍 Will def be getting this v v sooooon! Thanks for adding these @Nathan Explosion.
  11. I like where your head is at! Yes, we will definitely be taking a look at the Help Guides and documentation, but not in tandem with the website revamp. We will need to sit down and focus solely on that project in the near future as it'll be a relatively big (but awesome) undertaking. This feedback is valuable though thank you!
  12. Update // September 14, 2021: WE MADE IT! After months of hard work behind-the-scenes, we launched our newly-refreshed website and community theme. We have a formal blog post about it on the way, but we wanted to share this soft launch with you first 🀫. Feel free to share your feedback in the comments; we're here for you and are chatting! Earlier // May 12, 2021: Hey all, Happy Hump Day! @Charles and I joined forces here in Las Vegas this week because we're planning something super exciting. 🀐😎 After 4.6 rolls out, we're focusing on freshening up our homepage/subsequent pages and match that branding with this community. That may or may not be an understatement, but if there's anything to take away from this teaser it's that there some slick visual changes on the way! If you guys have any websites/homepages which are clean & minimal that inspire you, we'd love for you to drop some links in the comments. We already do have a firm idea/concept planned out, but your opinions matter to us! We'd like to hear from you.
  13. Wow 🀯 I love this! This is actually pretty incredible. I'd love to be able to filter by tags. Thing is in my community, the tags are open - meaning anyone can apply up to 5 tags of their choosing (versus preset), so not sure how that'd function. I love where your head is at with this! Regarding the CSS stuff - I would like to dive further into that world and learn. Maybe the universe will hook me up with some 28 hour days soon πŸ˜‚ All good! Do your thing. I love that the screen shot shows all the items being same height. That looks super slick. I'm curious how that uniformity was accomplished.
  14. Hey there, thanks for the suggestion. The users who are sending contact information or spam... what happens to them when they post on other members' statuses? If they post spam, and they're flagged, would that take care of that?
  15. 😍 I managed to make them a bit more uniform by hiding the captions that are included when Promoting. However, I still tend to think when I view this my eyes go all over the place not knowing where to look first. On mobile (which most people use mobile to read my community) it's a lot easier to digest because it's all in one column. I'd love to mirror that magic on desktop as well. OP is a really powerful way to display content across the community. I can't believe I'm only just now realizing I should do it this way lol πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
  16. πŸ˜‚ Any idea how to make all of the content items on the OP page the same height? The posts not lining up exactly is giving me anxiety πŸ˜† Any help would be *chef's kiss*
  17. Ahhh appreciate your insight. interesting. I think that’d be ok to keep it this way so long as I can have a little more uniformity? Ie all the content items are the same exact height, remove the caption preview or set it to X amount of words and maybe a few other stylistic changes. πŸ˜… I love the Our Picks page so I’m looking forward to seeing where I can take things!
  18. Thanks for responding! I moved the topic. Regarding the above... I wish I was a code ninja and knew how to do this πŸ˜… I can dream it, but in terms of implementation I am a baby goat.
  19. Hey there. I am interested in utilizing the Our Picks feature more in my community. https://exhale.breatheheavy.com/ourpicks I was wondering if it's somehow possible to force the Our Picks content items into a single column (so there aren't any items side-by-side no matter how wide the browser window is - similar to how Instagram on desktop looks). And hey while I've got ya, if there's any way to force every content item on the OP page to be the same height that'd be awesome, too! I would love a little more uniformity on the page! I am kind of interested in having it similar to how The Verge has theirs. If it's more appropriate to have this in the Marketplace Requests section because this is better suited as paid work, I am also down for that. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated!
  20. Hey team, another fine Hump Day is upon us. A couple orders of business before we dive into the latest round of 4.6 fixes and updates: 1.) Have you voted in the Star Trek vs Star Wars poll? V V important. 2.) We'd love to feature your community! In case you missed the giant green bar at the top of the page (πŸ˜†), check out this topic. We want to showcase your wins and successes and hopefully entice others to join Invision Community. If you feel a little uncomfortable to write a few sentences out for whatever reason, please reach out to me. I'd love to help you. πŸ™ 4.6 (with Achievements) is most definitely still in the works, as is a Live Q&A for you all to participate in (more details on that to come!). Here's our weekly roundup of new fixes: - Fixed an issue where uninstalling an application wouldn't delete the associated rss feed import data. - Fixed an issue where deleting a database wouldn't delete the associated rss feed import data. - Fixed issue where poll choices are cleared because poll question title is empty on Edit Topic submit. - Fixed an issue where topics marked manually for unarchiving would not be processed. - Fixed an issue where banned members could see that there are announcements, but could not read the announcement. If you have any questions, comments, concerns, please drop us a line!
  21. Hey @Maxxius nice idea. I just checked out how Pinterest does it. When clicking "Login" I do see the Google option. We include the option in the ACP for users to login with Gmail - how can we better improve that to mirror what you're suggesting?
