What you would need to do is create a new user group with extra storage space and then apply that user group as a secondary group to the users you want to give extra storage.

Some other items to share with you on how you can best utilize Invision to align with your MyBB experience: 
- you're welcome to manually create Trash boards.  Just set the proper permissions and it can act like your old Trash Boards.  You can also create a "Saved Action" in the ACP > Community  to automatically execute repetitive functions.  
- Several versions back introduced the concept of soft delete.  You can adjust the settings to save content for X days before the content is permanently deleted.  You can find Deleted Items in the ModeratorCP to review, helpful if you're afraid you mistakenly deleted something.  

Yeah, some of these features in IPB are light years ahead of stuff like MyBB where I came from!  In MyBB, when you deleted a thread, it went to a (staff only) trash can forum and there was no such thing as conversation style inbox, LOL!  It's a big jump for my members!
I told them to just create new folders and move PM's into them as needed instead of permanently deleting.  I guess sent folder was a no brainier...you can literately see sent PM's in you inbox!

What could be causing my emoji selector window to open and populate super slow?  It only seems to happen with the Twitter style Emoji...when I set it to Native style, it populates much faster.  I can just stick with native style but I wonder what is causing he issue with Twitter style?

I just uploaded 4.5 B5 and it went smooth but the auto upgrader identified the 1 small css change I made in global to adjust the header icon spacing and wiped it out along with my header background image and logo.  Not a major deal but it will suck if this happens every time there is an upgrade...is there anyway I should be adding a header BG to default theme so it doesn't get borked every time?

The typical way to do this nowadays is to use store the attachments on a service like Amazon S3, which is supported by Invision Community. You just have to enter your API credentials and everything happens automatically in the background. Those free image hosting services are rather unreliable. The images expire. The service is shut down or requires a license later on. And you need to teach every user how to even get an image into their service and then into the forum post from there.

I have a Banned group in my forum that came over from my old MyBB conversion...all the members are tagged with the IPB Banned tag but they are also in a group with a custom group icon.  But yeah, as mentioned above...I would have to manually move newly banned members into the group which is not an option for me either.  Now I have to decide to delete the banned members and banned group or try to move the banned members into the member group and see if they continue to keep banned status?

It is for IPS 4.4. You shouldn’t try it in a not compatible version or at least ask before. 
Since this is a test install, delete the tutorials folder in /applications via FTP and drop its table from your database. You should delete the tutorials rows from core_applications table too.

You can probably move the variable int the templates to where ever you want it to display in your footer...maybe someone here knows how or I can look into it later?

If you see that the member is banned in the admin CP (red notice when you look at the user), then you know the ban status was successfully converted from MyBB and you can safely move them into the members group. They will retain the banned status, regardless of usergroup.

No, nothing in my database from the old forum.
I entered the info into the converter but the paths to my old forum were not working so I sent a ticket to my host for clarification.  The next morning, I went to continue the conversion  and it popped up a message that it was converting and then finished!  In less than 1 second!  Now I am unable o start a new MyBB conversion as it says that I have already completed it.  And now I am stuck!
 
ETA...I just got a reply back from IPS...they tracked down my issue, fixed it and will be adding it to the next release!  They also removed the failed conversion so I can try again!  But it will have to wait until tomorrow morning now...I have to head home from work!
