@MeanGene try to referesh cached image on facebook by using this: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
@Adriano Faria this plugin would be even better if you added one little detail there. The og:image parameter should be added to source code even if the thumbnail has not been manually swapped. In this case, either the image that was automatically selected for the thumbnail or the default image that is used for topics without any images, should be specified there as og:image.

If you are self-hosted, download the package now and do a manual upload/upgrade at your leisure.

You can do this by using the constants.php file.
define( 'UPGRADING_PAGE', 'file.html' ); Note, the path entered must be from the root of your directory, so in this example if you site was at https://test.com/forums, then this file would be located at https://test.com/forums/file.html

DamonT got a reaction from Felipe13 in Replacing the badge with another (higher) one
Currently it looks bad if we want to award ranks for e.g. a round number of posts, likes or years since registrating on the forum. If a user gets a badge for getting 100 likes then there should be an option to automatically hide it when the user gets another badge of the same type, e.g. for 1000 likes. It makes no sense to display these "smaller" badges in the profile.

I believe that this will appear, because in my case this is the main reason why I had to limit the number of badges - users were dissatisfied with them. In such a situation, it's hard to prepare badges for new and regular users, because new users should earn them fairly quickly for motivation, and it doesn't make sense that later a person with 10k posts has badges for writing the first, fifth and tenth post.

I agree. We need an option to replace a previous badge like a badge upgrade.

A friendly reminder to check the huge list of open bugs reports in the Developer Connection forum instead of nagging us about PHP 8. 😋

Just a little friendly bump on this topic to remind those still using PHP 7.4, that our November release will require PHP8.

If you haven't yet upgraded to PHP8, please do put a plan in place before you upgrade. Upgrading to the November release with PHP7 will result in a fatal error.

    What's New in Version 1.1.1:
Add support to og:image Meta Tag so the embed image will also be used as the image to be used when you share a link in Facebook, Instagram, etc.

It doesn't do that but I'm releasing a new version to add support to og:image... should be available in a couple of days or so.

@Fosters is there any chance that this plugin will be compatible with newest forum soon? I understand that it works fine, but we can not install on update it via Marketplace due to error: "This file is not compatible with the version of Invision Community you are using.".

The more cloud information is shown, the more negative I am about it. I'm quite an advanced user - I know the solution and have the confidence that I won't migrate to the cloud. And if, by some miracle, I want to (e.g., as part of another project), I will definitely keep it in mind.

The button in general is a dumb idea. People who purchase self hosting already know about cloud hosting. It serves no purpose other than to remind you cloud will eventually replace self hosting 😄
Though to be fair, they haven't been short on dumb ideas as of late.

November releases would be released in November. With regard when the last moment will be for you to upgrade to the latest, the answer to that is whenever you wish to do so. There is nothing forcing you to upgrade. Just be aware by not doing so, we would be able to offer limited support (the answer at times may be to upgrade), and that you are knowingly running a PHP version that will not be patched if there are security issues found.

IPS does not give specific release dates. HISTORICALLY releases tend to happen later in the month… sometime between Tuesday and Thursday. (No weekends or Monday/Friday releases traditionally.)  You can also eliminate Thanksgiving as they won’t most likely release right before a major US holiday since many staff will be off.

So that might help you narrow down things a bit.
