CoffeeCake reacted to Makoto in Elasticsearch Version 7 & IPB?
Just wanted to follow up on this since I recent have been doing some ES related work, will ES 7.x support still be coming to 4.5?

CoffeeCake reacted to Jan Krohn in Fix "share by email" feature
Hi,
This morning I woke up to find that tens of thousands of spam emails were sent through the "share by email" feature.
The support's brilliant suggestion was to disabling that feature.
So instead of taking the responsibility to fix or remove a easily abusible feature, it's the customer's responsibility to disable it.
Bravo!
If the content that is to be shared can be removed and replaced by a spam message, then the feature is clearly broken. If this happens tens of thousands of times, and the system doesn't catch that, then the system is broken too.

CoffeeCake got a reaction from Adam.M in Gift Cards per PM or for another member
Seconding this request. We'd rather our members didn't solicit each other for e-mail addresses for privacy reasons, but would like to give them the option to gift other members by name.

CoffeeCake reacted to Rikki in -200 error - when will this issue be resolved?
I just wanted to note that we've improved the error message for this error in 4.5, so users at least won't see a mysterious "-200" message when it happens.

CoffeeCake reacted to 13. in -200 error - when will this issue be resolved?
Well, it's your assumption. No more no less. But what about the diagnostics instead of assumptions? WIll IPS provide informative error instead of just "-200"?
93 frames and 816kb is nothing for GIFs. Most of uploaded GIFs on my forums has a lot more frames and sizes (and a lot of them was uploaded when i used ImageMagic).
As i already said, problem is not related to the count of frames of to the size of the GIF, it just appears with some of GIFs, not matter how large or small they are, or how much frames does they have. I've uploaded bigger GIFs with much more frames and it worked just fine. Played around with timeouts and memory limits, e.t.c. and it does not affected the error with GIFs which has lower size and less frames.
Does not matter, the actual problem is lack of information in the error, that's it.

CoffeeCake reacted to GTServices in NOFOLLOW Changes
I agree, the NOFOLLOW on everything will still work but it doesn't help Google better understand and process links on my site as well as sites pointing to my site. Eventually, Google will make the proposed changes a requirement or drop it altogether.
Google makes changes gradually.
Plus, it doesn't hurt to give admins some control over this. Currently, it's either NOFOLLOW or nothing. (Just make the current option a dropdown.)
Let us decide.

CoffeeCake got a reaction from Li3D in Removal of empty paragraphs at end of post
Yes, please. This plugin appears to be no longer available, and it'd be better if it happened upon submission and not on load.

CoffeeCake reacted to BankFodder in Track Members
Hi, this looks as if it's going to be an extremely useful function.
Maybe it's there already but I haven't found it yet. If it's not then is it possible to include a column in the list to explain why the person is being tracked – new member, bannned, warned et cetera or the name of the site team member who began the tracking.
As far as I can see the moment, it's not possible to know from this list the reason for the tracking and it seems that there is enough space to add an additional column or two.
Thanks

CoffeeCake reacted to Sonya* in Gift Cards per PM or for another member
I would like to have an option to send a gift card per PM or for an other member. Some of our users would buy a gift card for other users on our site. But they cannot see the email of the user. In this case it would be nice, if they just could select a member name and the gift card is sent per PM or email to the selected user. At the moment they have to ask for email.

CoffeeCake got a reaction from Makoto in Account Deactivation
Thanks, it uploaded successfully. I had previously modified the json to swap to InnoDB, yet it took the new version just fine.

CoffeeCake reacted to Makoto in Account Deactivation
Hey @Paul E.
This should not happen and it should use whatever your default table engine is on installation - this is likely a carry-over from an older version of IPS that hasn't been changed yet. I'll have this fixed today and push out a maintenance release for it.

CoffeeCake reacted to Adriano Faria in Restrict viewing of banned member profiles
Made a quick plugin: Block Banned Profiles.xml
The only issue here is that the system treats regular banned and spammer banned in the say way (at least I couldn't identify a difference quickly) so it will block all banned profiles.

CoffeeCake reacted to Bluto in Enhanced Links Moderation
Just so that people know. If links are being moderated, the anchor link button will not appear in the editor toolbar, no matter what the permission settings are. Below is the support response from Lindy.

CoffeeCake reacted to AlexWebsites in resend all emails option in Email Error Logs.
There really should be a setting for a resend attempt to clear out the log. One by one clicking is insanity.
