I would love to see more attention put into the reputation system. Some suggestions:

    1. Make people spread reputation around before being able to give the same person reputation again and allow the admin to set the number needed before they can give the same person rep again in the ACP.

    2. The ability to disable a specific members ability to give reputation.

    3. The ability for the admin to be able to change someones specific post reputation. I have had members accidentally give a member a negative point and they wanted to change it, but as an Admin, I am unable to do so.

    4. The ability to leave comments about the reputation that only the person receiving it can see.

    5. The ability to see where you got your reputation point from, and who gave it to you. Even better would be to have a setting so you can allow people to only see who gave them positive of negative reputation.

I really like the idea of notifying the user of new posts that were made while typing a reply, I find the feature very useful in gmail. I'm not sure if it'll get included, but it is a good idea :)

I see that there are people who are interested in having the chat hosted on their own server. I'd like to place my name in that hat too.

My site is on a dedicated server and could probably handle the load. If not, I'd upgrade to something that can.

I am interested in IP.Chat for the community hosted on my own server. Is this solution only for hosted Communities? Can you tell, what is the timeline for the first release?

So this is a larger scale shoutbox with more features?

Seems like a slap in the face to the Community Team.

    OK guys,
I am currently running a vbulletin forum with a professional design set. My first and foremost worry about moving over to invision was the design of my forum. My thought behind this is that it is going to be a big enough move over to invision as it stands without the fact that the forum will look completely different.

NOW, bare in mind I only purchased invision less than 24 hours ago. I have almost managed to duplicate the look of my forum with only a very very basic knowledge of CSS and some knowledge of photoshop. How have I done this? I would seriously urge you to have a good read through the topic on this forum http://www.smartestcomputing.us.com/index.php?showtopic=37422

This tutorial, I would print out and have at the side of you throughout your transition. Its simple, and it works...... Dont worry about your skinning guys. IMO its easier than vbulletin 3.8 and at the end of the day, you would have to learn 4.0 anyways.

If we run a promotion it would be for anyone - not just vB converts. There are plenty of other products out there :)

I can certainly understand that and believe me when I say you're not the first to have license transfer issues and in spite of our warnings, probably won't be the last. Again, I'm sorry we can't be of more assistance and do hope you understand our position.

Ok, so I purchased a license off of ize nearly 2 years ago, and all was well and good, until 2 days ago i try to login to my other account, display name, .Shawn, and find out it wont let me log in, so i try to recover my password, and it tells me there's no account in the system using that email address, so i find this a little fishy, so i contact support, and they tell me that the original owner has control of the account and that there,s no way to prove the account is mine, altho i have renewed it 2 times with my credit card, i gave them that info, gave them my email address that it used to be tied to, and pointed out the face that this guys name is scott i believe and the display name is .Shawn, i find this absolutely absurd that customer service, nor debbie will do anything for me. but really, what would they care, losing one customer wont hurt their pockets any..just my rant on the customer service here.

Don't recall seeing any topics, but if I missed one forgive me.

I was messing around, saw the skin called "Clean Cut" so I figured I'd try it.

Hey it's pretty nice! I like both skins so I'll probably go back and forth, but wanted to say great job IPS!

    Thanks guys (and gals)!

But seriously, do you see this ethical not to provide Documentation to the software for which i have download rights ?

I can understand other things but not providing Documentation is strange IMHO.

I was hoping in IPB 3.x there would be a nice quick ban feature for administrators. Unfortunately I get a visitors who have no appreciation for board rules or a regular (sometimes daily) basis.

Would it be possible to have a ban option integrated in IPB directly from the forum for administrators please? I was thinking somewhere in the following window would be ideal:

I can't see why someone with a Perpetual License that is paying for support on a yearly basis also be eligible without changing to a standard license. If so, then what were the benefits of supporting and purchasing Perpetual back when it was offered?

I agree there, I twittered that as soon as I read the news. I agree that as long as they are +active they should have it. :/

(then again, im NOT a perpetual user anymore. so who am I to gripe)

I don't like that. Yes I'm a little biased since I have a Lifetime license, but I think that the Lifetime license shouldn't be excluded because the terms of it are the same as a standard license except that it's "forever" instead of limited to 6 month windows.

With Perpetual, the license holder should be allowed to get it when they are in +Active status (ie, paid $30/year).

I know that IPS wants to convert those into standard licenses, but I think that's a bit shameful to try to reword or reclassify things just to do it.

It seems like maybe some departments are faster off the mark than others? All of my pre-sales tickets were answered within minutes, even in the middle of the night. It was one of the things that really sold me on IPS! :)

My current tickets, though, have been sitting since Friday, I get that they wouldn't be answered over the weekend, but I thought they would have been started this morning. I updated one a couple hours ago requesting an estimate on when the work might be started so I could have answers for my users, but still waiting for an answer to that question too. :(

I hope today is not office picnic day at IPS! ;)

It's very sporadic for me too, I had a ticket today with a response within 5 minutes. Another ticket that I created YESTERDAY has sat unattended to for over 24 hours (which is more important to me than my other ticket) :(

Support is great when someone responses, its perfect and easy to understand them, I just seem to find its slow at times and not to my standard, but its my opinion lol
