BomAle reacted to jair101 in 4.3: Engagement Improvements
Does the "Typing..." tooltip only appear when you mouse over the user name?
I would rather have it like facebook, somewhere above the editor.

BomAle reacted to Matt in 4.3: Commerce Subscription Manager
Exactly this.
Yes, my aim is to offer an upgrader option to switch to the subs manager.

BomAle reacted to Daniel F in 4.3: AdminCP Member Profiles
Could you clarify this? There are no new form field types in 4.3.
Literally everything on this page is built via extensions ( 4.3 will have 2 new extension types which are used to build the ACP member profile)
@Mark did an amazing job here.

BomAle reacted to MMXII in 4.3: AdminCP Member Profiles
The new look is great (of course ), but I definetly like the filterable Recent Account Activity the most.

BomAle reacted to Mark in 4.3: Paid club memberships, and other club improvements
Just because a feature isn't in this version doesn't mean we don't think it's important We can only do so much in any one release. Clubs in particular is a very new feature and has both been used by more people than we expected, and in ways we never thought of. It will take a few releases to add everything everyone wants. I'm really glad you love the feature so much! The vast majority of our customers do not come to these forums. We get a lot of ideas for features through support channels (either explicitly or by asking "how do I do this?" for something you can't do). So don't assume "nobody has requested" something. We wouldn't waste our time adding features nobody is requesting! -

Screenshots of the new lightbox view from 4.3 Dev Board:
Lightbox on desktop view. Image controls and information on lightbox (such as image title, followers, image tools, etc) only appear when you hover over the lightbox area. Otherwise, it's a pure black lightbox. The green message is the "content message", a feature from Invision Community 4.2 for moderators to add highlighted commentary.
Lightbox on mobile. Invision Community 4.3 supports swipe controls left-right.

BomAle reacted to JMRD in 4.3: Automatic Community Moderation
I will surely see some trolling by users reporting stuff over and over, and probably some very thin-skinned users being offended by everything.
Is there a way to ignore/disregard all reports made by certain users, or users in certain (to them invisible) groups?

No caption isn’t an option since title is required in content items.

Yes and even bought it!
But i think, that REST endpoints for default modules MUST be from the box.

BomAle reacted to Aaron M in 4.3: Take payments with Apple Pay and more with Stripe and Commerce
Chargeback and Radar handling is amazing, been after those for a while now. Please tell me Commerce also has functionality for PayPal in regards to chargebacks and not just Stripe!

BomAle reacted to Mark in 4.3: Express yourself with Emoji
The upgrader does not handle it automatically. If you are not already utf8mb4-reader, you will be prompted to do the conversaion before the system will allow you to enable Emoji.
Yes, if you set your community to use either Twitter or Emojione styles.
Not currently, no. Detecting support is quite intensive on the browser (you have to make an invisible area and attempt to draw the emoji, and then check if it looks like a square or other symbol the platform might use to indicate a non-displayable character), so there would be a noticeable delay in rendering if a fallback approach was taken. Since the majority of modern platforms support Emoji, I would recommend using native unless your community's demographic is particular, or if you prefer the style of Twitter or Emojione.
Not through the normal translation system (there's a lot of Emojis) but all the data is contained a single json file which you could replace with a translated version and it would work.

All my future feedback will now be written entirely in emoji.

BomAle reacted to Rikki in Top tips for optimizing your community's SEO
Don't worry, I'm not the only one working here 4.3 news will be coming along just as soon as we're ready to reveal it.

BomAle reacted to Mark in Invision Community 4.3 Coming Soon
It wasn't our decision either - you should check out any modern smartphone or social media site
For what it does matter though, I think the addition of different skin tones and genders to many emojis is great... all the emojis representing professions being white and male was a bit ridiculous.

BomAle reacted to 13. in Proactive and reactive moderation - which is right for your online community?
Could you post only News&Updates in News&Updates section? Please stop bother(with useless notifications) people who subscribed to this section in order to follow news and updates, not QOTW/Obvious things about moderation, etc.
Create separate section for such kind of things.

BomAle reacted to bfarber in New: Statistics
Anonymous logins will remain anonymous and not be reflected by the member visits tool.
No, these new statistic tools are not intended to track duplicate logins.
If you are looking to find instances of where an account has been logged into by more than one IP address, you can likely do this by looking at the Device History for an account. If you are attempting to find instances where one IP address logs in to multiple different accounts - why? Several users can visit from a single VPN for instance, but they're still distinct users.
These changes are not designed to track keywords from search engines, no. The keyword tracking feature is designed to track usage of defined keywords within your site.
