Jim M got a reaction from AlexJ in Mass delete spammers
You would need to select something on this list. You can just search by "Joined" and do the start date of your community and today, if you want to do all.
Then when it directs you back to the list, just tab over to the "Spammers" tab as in your screenshot in the OP:

I’ve been looking at houses lately… there are quite a few that I would like, but I can’t afford $10M USD. Those owners could be much more reasonable and sell it to me for $1M USD. In fact some of them bought their house for under $500K so since I can’t afford $10M, I should get it for what I want it to be? (That seller could still make money!) 😄
I personally don’t find value in the price IPS has assigned to Copyright removal. But it’s their price to assign and that price was known before purchase.
They don’t want to be selling copyright removals. It’s not how they build their business model around. It’s intentionally priced to prevent people from doing it. And it looks like it’s doing its job. (It’s not gotten a price raise when the core platform cost went up… just be glad they’re not scaling it up as well!)

Dude, it's already done.
(No, it's not, but if I say it's done then I just make myself more awesome.)

Jim M got a reaction from Mediamage in Change name of the main page
Translation strings would change what the default definition is to what you want to change it to. For example, that string by default from us says “Forums” and you have changed it to the name of your community.
As mentioned, the Site Name is not what this. It does not appear where on the front end you want this. If you removed your customization, you would just get “Forums” there on the forum index.

Okay I figured it out, my question is do I need to do it this way though? Can I instead remove these and then change the site name in "ACP > Settings (gears icon) > SETTINGS > General Configuration > Site Name cause I will never remember how I fixed it this way LOL

Thank you. I have reported what you mentioned here to our developers. However, I am unable to reproduce the exact error which has been originally reported. Therefore, we cannot guarantee this will resolve the OPs issue without access to their instance.

To make a final answer, the problem was on the CMP side.

Jim M got a reaction from Clover13 in Copy and paste not working in topic editor
I have marked this to a developer to see if they have any suggestions. However, it is not something I have immediate suggestions for due to this is not something we are able to actively reproduce. Last thing would be to ensure they have everything updated on their phone in case something is causing issues and accepting all cookies on your community.

Jim M got a reaction from Donnie95 in Last modified date
Depends how they update them. If they provide all files of the software application and those "dates" on the file are updated by their file generator then it will show updated when you upload that to your server.
Our automatic updater only downloads files which have changed thus your file system won't see that the files weren't touched or modified.

Jim M reacted to Randy Calvert in I would like to automatically upload external images to server
You would need to find a 3rd party resource developer and ask them. IPS does not offer this service.

Jim M got a reaction from David N. in Deleted attachments by mistake, is there a way to get them back?
Unfortunately, once the delete process is initiated, the only way to recover would be from a full backup. As the system will process the deletion immediately. Even if it's available via existing attachments, the system will remove it in the processed background task.

Jim M got a reaction from Jelly Belly™ in zero active users
Thanks, I moved this to a ticket so we can see what is happening here. Please check your email for further correspondence.
This was the quickest ticket ever 😄 . This is actually due to some internal changes on Cloud. This should be fixed soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks so much both of you. I really appreciate the efforts to get it back to where I was a few days ago. ❤️

That is from the user having the problem. The other one sees and experiences the same exact behavior.

Jim M got a reaction from Ibai in Q&A forums are going away?
The Q&A forum type is going away but there will still be the ability to mark your replies as a solution in forum topics, very similar to how your can now in a Discussion forum type.

I had a look, the app "xboxlive" is throwing issues. I renamed the directory in /forums/applications/ so it no longer loads, and your site loads OK now. I have removed the recovery mode constant.

The issue is derived from the datastore writing at the moment so I would do that first. Once that is resolved, you can try recovery mode if there is still an issue.

Jim M got a reaction from Steve Herschbach in TypeError in System Log
Please note that Gary is not an Invision Power Services employee. He is a client. I am sorry that you do not appreciate the new support workflow but you have not lost any support 🙂 . The same flow would have happened here but I can certainly pass along your concerns to our management.
I have transferred your issue to a ticket because it will require further digging by our team to see what is happening in this particular topic here to cause this issue.
Please watch your email for further correspondence.

No worries. I certainly hope the surgery goes well!
We certainly appreciate that this change was a departure from what has been done previously and that even though we've been doing this for almost 2 years now, some are not frequent support users. However, it is important to remember that even though things change, you aren't losing anything. We do ask for you to give it some time.
We have had some extremely strong voices against it but everyone who has used it, enjoys it more. We think it is important to have a support community rather than direct tickets when after-all, we sell community software and have long been saying for years forums are great for support. This has been our "eat your own dog food" moment 🙂 .
Please note that you should have an email in your inbox asking about further details so we can assist you. Please reply to the email once you have added those. Thanks.
