  2. Sorry, FURLs are for advanced users and outside our scope of support. Additionally, customizations are outside our scope of support. I've moved this to the correct forum due to that. I am sorry that you disagree. I can point one of our developers to this topic to see if they can confirm this is not a bug but for assistance, this is generally something our community would assist with since it is outside our scope of support.
  3. 4.3 to 4.6 is a pretty large jump that will impact any third party applications/plugins/themes/language packs/etc... You will want to research to ensure that the authors have a compatible version to upgrade to, you may wish to disable these during your upgrade process of our core applications and then upgrade third party add-ons once the core is upgraded. Keep in mind any modifications to theme templates or our core CSS (aka not in a custom CSS file you created) may result in issues when upgrading as the software will not touch those files. You will likely want to create an unmodified theme to upgrade your system and then once upgraded, change your theme to your custom theme to see if anything is broken. If anything is broken, you will want to compare your modified items to non-modified items to fix any errors or incompatibilities. At the end of the day, staying current in releases is not only good practice for security / more stable, robust experience but typically, allows you to upgrade piece by piece instead of large efforts when you have major gaps like going from 4.3 to 4.6. Just food for thought for the future 🙂 .

Unfortunately, this issue is beyond the scope of our technical support. 👩‍💻 Our technical support is happy to help you with the Invision Community platform, but we're unable to help with things like server management, theme questions and modifications. I've moved this to our Community Support area where other Invision Community owners will see it and help where they can.
  5. You'll want to check to ensure your theme storage location is writable. It is stating there that it is not. By default, this location is a sub-folder of /uploads so you will want to ensure all sub-folders of /uploads are writable and owner by the same user/group as required by your server. EDIT: to address your backup/restore question, as these are server errors with writing that would likely be a fruitless endeavor, I'm afraid, as you'll likely just encounter this again. Server write issues need to be resolved otherwise, the software will continue to have this issue.
  6. You may wish to ensure these volumes are tied to the location which the software is and attempting to write to (additionally, you may also want to check the storage for /tmp). Unfortunately, there is a write error here on the server somewhere if 0 byte files are showing up.
  7. Check out Admin notifications in ACP -> Notification Bell (top right) -> Notification Settings -> enable which option you want for "A member requests an account credit withdrawal"
  8. Internal links to your community will embed. External links will not embed.
  9. Are you referring to the account credit in Commerce? If so, withdrawals currently only work with PayPal. They can request by your withdrawal settings by going to /clients/credit/ on your community (you may wish to add that to your menu manager if it's not there already). On that screen, if you allow withdrawals, they will be able to submit a request.
  10. As mentioned above, there may be some rich text around what you are pasting so the parser is not interpreting it as an URL. Setting the editor to paste as plain text will resolve this particular issue or ensuring that you are pasting your URL in plain text when doing this. (Generally, on Windows this is ctrl+shift+v or some browsers like Chrome give you the option when right clicking)
  11. Could you please provide the link in question here? We can then examine to see if this is a parsing error or maybe something wrong with the link itself. If it is the latter of the two scenarios above, we will be asking how you obtained the URL so if you want to provide that upfront as well, that would help us out track this down 🙂 . Thanks!
  12. Sorry, we official do not provide support for LiteSpeed servers. The provided .htaccess is only supported for Apache servers. I have moved your topic to our community support forum so you can receive support from fellow administrators who may have implemented this.
  13. Our Cloud can only support root domains (e.g. example.com) or sub-domains (e.g. community.example.com). It cannot support sub-folders - or in this regard where the root domain lives on another server due to technical restrictions that Randy mentions. Most of our customers who have a main site already on another service or server, generally go the sub-domain route here in our Cloud. Alternatively, if really having that sub-folder, "domain.com/forum/", is what you desire, this will indeed require self-hosting both your main site and our software on the same server.
  14. As mentioned by others, some of these are available in the core software like member groups and changing the reaction images/names/points to what you want. Outside of that, there are third party applications/plugins in our Marketplace which you can easily install via the ACP which meet your needs to the other questions you had. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
  15. Sorry, there is no way which is recommended/supported than using the software to manually set this. I can move this to the community support forum if you wish to explore other methods with your fellow administrators?
  16. When 0 byte happens with an attachment, it generally means that the storage failed on the server. Are you out of disk space or did anything recently happen on your server that may cause an image to be removed?
  17. As mentioned by others here, 8.1 is not yet supported. Sorry for any confusion!
  18. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.
  19. The software simply was not designed that way as thousands of categories are not really needed in the space the software is developed for, communities. The average number I've seen in my 7+ years working here, I'd say is around maybe 15 - so ~60 times that is indeed beyond it's intended use. I don't want to try and force you to use a round peg in a square hole if our software does not fit, just kind of wanted to explain that a little further and give that info to anyone else who may be reading this. I do wish you the best of luck finding another software if our solution does not fit your needs but I am sorry, we do not offer refunds on downloaded or installed software per our terms of service. ---- While it is too late for yourself, in this case, our sales team always welcomes these kinds of questions as we do want to inform you of our software's intentions prior to purchasing.   20. Again, categories are not meant to be in the thousands regardless of the application.
  21. Unfortunately, you originally attempted to perform something which the software was not designed to perform. The solution provided is manual just like creating categories would be manual.

  24. For your guest member group, you will want to ensure that the "See Forum" permission is checked for the forum but not the "Read Topics" permission. This will allow individuals in that group to read the topic list but not be able to read the topic itself. I'm afraid, there isn't any granularity past that for individual posts in a topic.   25. The system really isn't setup in a manner where specific groups only have access to specific themes and that would not include a common default theme across all member groups. May I ask, what is different about the themes? If it is something like one has advertisements and the other doesn't, there would be better ways in the software to do this.
