I would expect that this fixes it, yes. But as you said yourself: whether that settings is there or not – it shouldn’t have any effect anymore anyway. 

All I did was create a custom ad tag and insert that tag into the global template. Within the ad settings, I have it showing to guests only. I did nt use any IF statements. 

It seemed to display more ads on mobile and it feels like it's slowing down the site a bit on smaller screens. I have everything on in adsense to show and it's too early to make a judgement so I'm going to continue to leave it up for a few days. 

Yup. If you're adding it directly to your theme's globalTemplate, template syntax will work there.

Just in case it's in relation to the PM notification bug, can you confirm you check the physical PM inbox for any PM for point 1?
Regarding Facebook registrations, can you confirm that the display name is being set by these users? The Auto Welcome app should be waiting until the display name is set before sending anything.

I tested on 4.2.2 beta1 inbuilt widgets "Topic Feed" and "Post Feed" and topics and posts are displayed from closed club.

The Auto Welcome app has been updated with IP.Board 4.2.x compatibility and several more bug fixes. Full list of changes below
IP.Board 4.2.x compatibly update. Status updates should now use author set. Support for Chatbox has been added. The %topic_link% quick tag should work in non topic alerts now. Option to send as system pm added to prevent inbox filling up of sender. New %member_link% added that is a mention style link to member joining. Dev warning for "non-abstract" should be fixed. Support for social media signups improved. I would again ask that people use the support topic for support issues rather then reviews. Leaving reviews about issues without actually including any details or follow up does not help me fix or update this app faster.

The first beta should be out next week. Just testing a lot of different registration scenarios to make sure everything is covered.

But we have been in contact with the Author and they are working on a update that they said will be here soon.
It does work, but there is a lot of flaws that i and others have relayed to @Mike John 
and he is on top of it, and said that everything will work as it should come the Update here soon.

The ordering comes from the system. I just style it. So whatever feed blocks can do, SuperGrid blocks can do. 
If you want pinned entries, you would have create a separate block with just pinned entries in it.

No, not the first release. That's just bug fixes and things that won't break 4.1 and 4.2 compatibility. I'm waiting with comments as that will make this a 4.2-only app.
