MY users are asking something similar. They want an easy way to find threads they have posted in which contain new content. I think it can be done with the activity feed but I am not sure exactly how. I linked my users to the feed and one said this to me "it's not notifying me of new posts.  This just shows me where I've posted in the past. "

Just fixes the missing messenger date-time line when you have KS show only post date option enabled.

Sorry, won't happen. At least not with KS.
Part of the philosophy behind IPS 4x is that everything generated by a member is considered "content".
In the core.members database, there is a column for member_posts. Although it sounds like it is just for forum posts it is not. It is for all content be it forum posts, topic started, download submitted, gallery images submitted, etc. That's what is being called and displayed when you see a user's content count.
Can you break out a user's forum posts count separately? Of course. But, you have to actually do database work and probably a bunch of separate hooks to get and store just that information. It's not that hard - if all you wanted was forum topics started and forum posts made you would just hook onto the submit bit and then count and store from there. More messy when you try to keep accurate stats as you have to hook onto the delete bits as well. I suppose you could find where the content count is being calculated and hook there, targeting whether the call is coming from forums or not and writing/deleting based on that. Might make this a lot more manageable.
If you want some more term confusion....

Where it says 1,075 posts? That's actually content count, not just forum posts. On this site that will include my files in the marketplace, all my topics started and forum posts, probably all my bug reports and responses there as well. Posts = Content and vice versa.
So yeah, if you want that stat back on its own it will be some work to accomplish.

This is too large of a scope for a single feature suggestion. I'll be starting a gallery review feedback topic in the client lounge this week and we should include this to formulate a game plan.

I think you've hit the nail on the head! This is exactly how it should work in my opinion. you're really great with process,  WELL DONE!!
However, reading into what Lindy had to say, it seems he's concerned about private forums and forums with permissions to only specific groups. He cites "Mental Health". Suppose one of these sites have clients providing sensitive uploads to private forums. (for example a domestic violence site, user submits photos of injury). These users wouldn't want their private domestic violence photos view-able to the entire community on display in the gallery. Do you have a solve for this? Like maybe a check box on upload... "do not show in gallery"? Or maybe images have source forum ID connected such that gallery could respect forum permissions?

Image board owners face a major struggle between forums for images and Gallery. They are disconnected.
For those of us that run image boards IP4.x has some issues I've been thinking over. There is some disconnected logic regarding images. I have boards for posting images but I also want to use gallery. I am going to end up with fragmented content all over the place and no easy way to find content from a specific user.
It's difficult to view IMAGE attachments per user in profile. You can see "posts" or "topics" but not attachments.  If we have boards that are set up for posting images AND Gallery installed there is a logical disconnect.  We end up with some images in the forums and other images in the gallery but no way at all to tie the two together.  (see screen shot, this user has posted MANY images to the forums but under images there isn't anything posted.)
Recommendation: An option to allow images posted in the forums to automatically be considered part of gallery and be view-able in both places. Forms feeding gallery would avoid any fragmentation or disconnects. Also a place in profile to view "attachments"

Note: VB5 actually works by integrating user "image" content in forums or gallery into one single thing. It's one of the few things I really like about VB5. No more fragmentation or struggle between images posted in forums verses gallery

There are many things I dislike about Vbulletin but one thing they do very elegantly is deal with this very issue.
If a user uploads images to the forum they are stored in a "forum" album (which is auto created). The album is then in the users gallery (under a media tab)
It's fantastic integration and beautifully executed

Having tabs in the user menu for each "sort" option seems awkward. Users will need some kind of sort tool if this plugin is going to be a robust member list.
Can have location, post count etc plus custom profile fields.
Here are some examples of member search.  (and member browse)

    Not really.
    1. Can create private albums?
Private albums are albums that only the creator can view
    2. Can create restricted access albums?
Restricted access albums are albums that only the creator and designated users can view
(This is only by member name, not group or Followers. I'm not sure why Followers isn't an option here.)
Neither of those would really work. If an image is in a private album, one might assume it should not show in the content as well. Same with limited.
It would have to adhere to forum/app permissions which I think would get messy. Permissions can change for forums, so have the system move images or change album permissions?
I think the only way is let the user select if they want it in Gallery, this is a verbal permission at the time. You could have it enabled by default to be in Gallery so most users did this, and deselect to not have it in the Gallery. But there are reasons why one may not want it there, and I think a user selection would work great. And they could remove it later as well.
