    Hello,
As we already know, this is a great option for communities that want to fish for new users, as it allows the guest to see the option to comment, to complete the submission they are redirected to registration page.
    Just missed one thing...
A list of these contents, the system saves email and content to the database to remind the user by email, but doesn't have a transparent list in ACP.

Hisashi reacted to opentype in how cool would this be, Save in 1Password
I don’t know. What would it solve exactly? Every password manager is already easy to use and it works on every website. Adding dedicated implementations for specific password managers only sounds beneficial to the provider of that one password manager.
The concept of password-less logins is around the corner and I think that is more promising.

@Marc Stridgen Why not to leave advanced editor alone? switching between designer and code direct access mode on theme cause mess. I still believe that advanced mode should simply have access to all the template/css files and any other mode - do whatever you like 😞

    Hi aXenDev,
Good find, we're in the process of pushing a patch for this issue. Sorry for any inconveniences this may have caused.
    Thanks!

Hisashi reacted to opentype in Bug: Misattributed quotes
I had users complain about being regularly quoted with things they never said. I checked it out and this is indeed easy to replicate. Example:
Let’s say I see this post from Nigel quoting Daniel:

I can select the text in the quote and hit “Quote selection”. But the result will be this:

The quote gets misattributed to Nigel, even though it was said by Daniel! It shouldn’t work like that.
Either the quote should be attributed correctly, or if that is not possible, the inline quote functionality should be suppressed within already quoted text.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

It's really now disappeared when permanently deleting, I think the only error to consider is that the recommended comment is still visible to those who don't have permission (guest).
However, it's still weird to be visible this way after soft delete.

When you recommend a comment and delete it without removing it from recommended, there is no way to remove the recommendation because the comment doesn't exist.

The watermark feature in Downloads is great, but I would really like a way to set it per category. It looks kinda weird, to see my team's watermark on other users' files.
Additionally a way to disable watermarking feature for a file/category would also be nice.

    Hello,
The search engine has indexed my pages with no content (domain.com/articles.html/page/NUMBER)

To disable just add the following code in robots.txt?
    Disallow: /articles.html/page/
Or need to add a (/*) at the end?

Yes, it's in the marketplace and it's free.

My point exactly - when people see a search box they just type in what they're looking for and really don't pay attention to whatever filters have been automatically applied - too much hand holding going on.

That's my point, we admins or regular users know how search works, but that's not the reality for all new users or for a visitor who is just passing through your website.
Users are used to simply writing what they want to search for and expecting some result.

Awesome, is this available on Marketplace? In my view, I see no point in allowing users to find pages that I have not referenced them for them to click on.

Hisashi reacted to Davyc in Feedback about the new search bar
In general when users search they don't expect to be limited to where they are, in fact it can be counter productive.  Example. I search Everywhere and find what I want and go there, I then want to find something else and go to search and if it's not where I am currently located a negative search results, which could mean to the person searching for what they are looking for is not on the site; but it may be somewhere else where they're not searching.
I agree with the drop down appearing automatically when the search box is clicked, this then apprises the user that there are more options.  We all know that those options are there, but someone else (perhaps a majority of users not up to date with what IPS is pushing) may not know and give up and leave.
I mentioned this elsewhere when my home page is a Pages page and set as default (otherwise it would not be my homepage) which meant that when someone went to search for something they did not find it, because the search bar was searching in Pages; not good.  My only resolution was thanks to @Adriano Faria plugin that removes Pages from search was my search bar functioning again.
It's fine for us because we 'know' but a lot of people, including visitors, will not know and it may not always appear obvious.  It could mean the difference between gaining a new member or losing them because they can't find what they're looking for.  It was a good idea, in principle, but not in practice.  I would say at least give Admins the option to choose how the search functions on their sites.

Maybe it's just my opinion 😅, but why don't make this IPS4 default menu?
It has a beautiful design, visually more organized and visible.

    Hello,
I'm starting to get used to the simplicity of the new search bar, but there's one thing that bothers me, although it's not a problem.
Desktop users are having a bit of a hard time searching because they aren't paying attention when selecting the location of content.

They end up not having a good search experience, due to a simple lack of attention. And it gets worse when your theme is dark.

Sometimes the user is looking for a video, but is in another app and ends up being filtered automatically.

    How to solve this?
Make the menu appear automatically when clicking on search bar, as it was in past.
So the user will quickly know where to look for your content.

Or (and in my opinion even better) make it default to search everywhere. If you get too many results, you can then narrow the search in the next step.

Hisashi reacted to sobrenome in Use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images to WebP
ImageMagick is used by IPS to handle uploads of images, resizing them, compressing them and creating thumbnails.
Why not give the community admin the option to use ImageMagick to convert uploaded images by users to WebP?
As long as WebP is now accepted by IPS 4.6, I imagine that would be very simple to add this feature to the suite.
I am having a great experience converting the images that I post on my community to WebP. Same quality and much less bytes than JPG or PNG or GIF.

Hisashi reacted to Dreadknux in Bug Report: "Remove Rewards" Feature (Via Topic) Does Not Actually Remove Badges or Points
There's a bug in the Achievements system that needs addressing.
    Steps:
    - Go to topic and 'Reward' a user with an incorrect badge and incorrect points (i.e. by mistake)
    - Head to the '...' menu against the rewarded post and select 'Remove Rewards'.
    - A dialog box shows up confirming that this will remove badges and points
    - Check user's profile. Badge still remains and points adjustment still apparent in Admin CP.
    - Manual deletion via Admin CP > Member Search > Points and Badges is required to fully remove the rewards.
    Removing accidentally-awarded achievements...

    Confirmation...

Post-removal of rewards - checking user profile (badge is not removed)...

Admin CP view - points are not removed (requires admin to adjust back via 'Edit User's Points' button)...

Admin CP view - badge has not been removed (requires admin to fully remove using the 'delete' button to the right)...

It seems that all the 'Remove Rewards' function does is uncouple the badge and points awarded to the specific post. It needs to completely remove the badge and points from the user as well. My community's moderation team will be responsible for handing out the majority of manual badge/point rewards, and this bug will add unnecessary additional workload and resources to fully remove accidental badge/point rewards.
