Can I ask why, seems like an obvious omission.

G17 Media reacted to teraßyte in Direct attack on attachment URLs
@Marc Stridgen The error should still be fixed, though:
Call to undefined method IPS\core\extensions\core\EditorLocations\Contact::attachmentPermissionCheck()
Even if the ID being looked up doesn't exist, it shouldn't throw a PHP error but show a proper error page at least.

As mentioned, if you are bothered about it, you could block the IP if needed. Its very likely a crawler that is hitting these

You can do that with a 3rd-party resource:

GBoard is the default keyboard of the Google Android OS (it's on Pixel devices, it's on most OnePlus devices, plus others that don't massively deviate from the stock OS)
'Samsung Keyboard' is the native keyboard on the Samsung version of the Google Android OS, but can be overridden by the manual installation of GBoard from Google Play, just like SwiftKey is available for all Android devices.

Let me be skeptical... I became your customer when version 4.0.x launched with similar promises... That was 9 years ago... Now you are promising a change with version 5.x.x... I'm not sure that will happen I'm...I'm sorry...

Judging by my quoted post from 2020, should we expect a change in 2028?😇

G17 Media reacted to Adlago in Registers an unload listener
After versions 3.x.x for the "future" 4.x.x there were similar promises... Alas, many of the promises remained an empty hope... And whether version 5.x.x will meet expectations - is forthcoming, but the pre-ad is just an ad…

G17 Media reacted to Tikhonov Ivan in Add invisible re CAPTCHA in login form
Hello. The problem is still relevant. Hackers check login information from other hacked forums and other databases. They use an array of proxy servers and will check emails and passwords from other services. Users often use the same emails and passwords. A captcha on the login form could prevent such an attack.

G17 Media reacted to Thomas P in Hide profile information or entire member profile for marked spammers
Hi all,
we had and have spammers who try to abuse the homepage link ("Website URL") or the "About me" section, i.e. profile fields, for link stuffing and unsolicited advertisement - which is spam.
Marking the spammer using the built-in function hides the posts and threads but not the profile fields or the member profile itself.
Suggestion is to hide the entire content of a spammer after being marked so.
Regarding the profile fields specifically: Either the profile field content should be removed (A) or the entire profile should be set to hidden except for the Mods & Admins (B). This is just to give you an idea how it can be done, but in those details I trust your judgement as you are more into the details.
This is the follow-up to this q&a topic:
Thanks,
Thomas

Upgrade - yes.
Patch - as I've never gotten a notification of one despite having that set to notify me, nope.

G17 Media reacted to Jim M in Unread content search suddenly slow (2+ minutes)... was seconds forever
While it shouldn't, that is the only thing which has changed so would be worth questioning to them on your configuration and if there should be optimizations done.
All tables, including core_search_index, should be InnoDB.

You would want to contact your hosting provider/server administrator for assistance. If the only thing which has changed is that your MySQL got upgraded, that is likely a breadcrumb which you will need to review with them. It would seem odd that no configuration or search parameter changed to lead to a slowdown.

G17 Media reacted to Jim M in Cron Job Issue " not at command line"
Unfortunately, everything is executing properly on our end (you can actually run the command provided via SSH, if you access and it should render properly). This would, unfortunately, be a configuration error or issue with CRON if it is returning HTTP headers as it should be ran via PHP.

You would need to contact your hosting provider then to ensure you're setting this up correctly. Unfortunately, from our end, we have provided you with what the software would expect and function with.

um, here is a thread where google is talking about booting people off of chart.googleapis
Is this possibly the root cause?

Every time I have been able to replicate it in testing it has involved being impatient during registration and smashing buttons. If you try this enough times it will happen again for you. But I have not yet found a way to consistently reproduce.

I don’t think there is much IPS can do for you. Their privacy policy would most likely prevent them from sharing any info they have for him.
You might be better off working with your bank regarding a chargeback if you did not get what you paid for.

Nope. I'm with Invision Cloud and have experienced the same problem:

G17 Media reacted to virap1 in Invision Community 5: A more performant, polished UI
Thank you @Randy Calvert. Yes, and they are doing a great job. My suggestion was to do a better planning based on their abilities and vision and better communicate those plans and roadmaps. Right now I am paying a solution (pages app) that has terrible presentation solution so I like many were relying on third party plugins to overcome that. My understanding is there is not going to be any plugins in v5, so where does that leave me and others who use the pages app? That is where a road map and communication would help to plan for the future.
