  1. I don’t really care what you guarantee. I’ve probably set up more than a 100 Pages databases across all the 4.x releases. I know how it works. Using the template set on the database level IS the default for new categories and it remains this way until the latest 4.5 release. By the way: there is another way to have categories use a local template override other than manually setting the template: by copying a category to create a new one. That of course will take over the database settings including the template override.
  2. Like I said: that happens when there is a category-specific override (which is NOT a default). An admin needs to specifically make that choice. If you want to reverse that choice, go to the category settings and set it back to the default:
  3. That’s not true. There is a global listing template set in the database settings. That’s the default and it can be changed as a default, affecting all categories that do not have custom listing template settings. Each category can override the default where needed. That’s exactly how it should be. You have the comfort of a global setting, but the flexibility of category-specific overrides, that do not change when the default changes. If you see the same template set used for all categories, but this is set as custom override, then the setup is wrong. Instead of changing each category to the new template, you should instead remove the override and set the category to use the global template for easier changes in the future.
  4. Clear the cache. (“Something is not working” in the support section)
  5. There are no plans for that. P.S. you are in the wrong topic again. The product you use is called SuperTopics.
  6. The edit time is a member group option. In your case, it might be better to check the moderator settings for clubs, as you say it’s “his club”, in which case, you can grant permission to edit anything in the club at all times.
  7. I use this in my custom.css. [data-pagecontroller="index"] .ipsItemStatus.ipsItemStatus_read { opacity:1; } If it doesn’t work for you, we would need a link to your site.
  8. That’s not possible with the stock settings.
  9. If you give them access, anything goes. That’s the nature of the beast and that’s why it is so strongly discouraged to activate it.
  10. It’s a template set. It only affects the look of Pages databases. It doesn’t change the general functionality.
  11. My screenshot only demonstrated how to add a custom button. The code merely adds a CSS class to a text span. You need to set the CSS declarations yourself in your custom.css.
  12. Yeah, it’s a known issue in 4.4. Here is previous discussions with tips how to resolve it:
  13. I explained it in this article: https://www.opentype.space/superdocs/ips-community-tips/pages/upgrading-pages-templates-in-invision-community-45-r25/
  14. Client Area → Manage Purchases → Manage this purchase → Manage your communnity
  15. First you need to match your installed third-party resources to the Marketplace. Click on this notifications. After that everything is very easy. If there are new versions, you get a notifications and you can upgrade with a single click.
  16. When I add similar products I use the useful “Copy” function in the ACP. Problem is, that the new product with the name “[product name] copy” instantly becomes available in the shop, even though I haven’t actually configured it yet. I suggest that the copy function creates each copy with the default status “deactivated” instead of taking over the status from the copied product.
  17. There is no issue. I’m going through all of my resources, testing and updating and SuperBlocks just hasn’t been dealt with yet.
  18. I don’t really support that reasoning. Legally, as customer you get a license to use software under certain conditions. You don’t own it. It’s not yours to change and fix as you see fit unless the licensor specifically allows that—which is usually not the case for commercial proprietary software. Of course in the past, such things were never enforced. Providers on the Marketplace couldn’t even define their own licensing terms and the marketplace is so small, that no one bothers to fight legal battles over a single product, let alone a single sale. But this doesn’t change the legal foundation. I much rather see the marketplace get more professional and add more legal and technical protection of the uploads. The discussion about abandoned resources is a little weird, since that has nothing to do with the IPS platform. It’s not just the same for every other software marketplace, it’s the same for every business which might suddenly fold. It’s up to every admin to weigh the risks of using third-party tools—or even the IPS apps for that matter, since apps and functionalities from IPS can also be removed at any time.
  19. I would expect it. No guarantee though. I will deal with it in the coming days.
  20. I guess his point is that “delivering ads” and “connecting to Google Analytics” are native parts of the software, so it could hold back delivering those calls until explicit consent was given by checking additional checkboxes for things like “visitor analytics” and “ad services”. I kind of see the point. Alternatively, each service would have to ask for consent separately, which would be a nightmare for the visitors. @Michel P.S. As far as I know the sharing services are just outgoing links. They don’t have any privacy implications.
  21. Been there. I was told the update checking doesn’t necessarily retrieve the status of ALL installed files in one go. So running it multiple times can help.
  22. I see you just changed your banner. 👍 Goed gedaan! Looks good now. It’s as far as you can get with the stock options.
  23. There is stock functionality for that. I see your site (linked from the footer) already implements the approval button (which is part of it), but you don’t give any information about cookies in it and you don’t make accepting the cookies part of the approval. That should of course be fixed.
