@newbie LAC Many thanks for adding support for the prefixes. This is something I requested you a while ago! Now it looks much better! Thumbs up for your support!
-
If I upgrade from the plugin to the new app, will all my previous configuration be lost? Will I need to reconfigure the footer?
-
@Fosters Any news on PHP 7.2 suport? Because I bought this app and can't use it...
-
1. IPS 4.2.7, PHP 7.2.1
2. Yep, the error message was generated by another app that was not uninstalled correctly. Took care of that.
3. When opening any page from our community, we get a blank page. Disabling your app solves the issue. I tried disabling all other plugins and apps and clearing the cache at no avail. At the server level, pages are loaded with http status code 200, even though the contents are blank, so no error is being logged. Nothing is logged at the IPS system log or at the IPS error log.
My best guess based on previous comments is that your app is not compatible with PHP 7.2.1.
Cheers,
Gabriel.

1. Not working here. Cleared the cache three times, but after enabling the app, it loads a blank page. Tried with an unmodified default theme at no avail. System log displays the following error:
OutOfRangeException: (0) #0 /www/invision/uploads/template_41_94a9d7649fb9cdbfc784d3516e61a717_global.php(14911): IPS\Application\_Module::get('bookmarks', 'bookmarks') #1 /www/invision/system/Theme/SandboxedTemplate.php(56): IPS\Theme\Cache\class_core_front_global->userBar() #2 /www/invision/uploads/template_41_94a9d7649fb9cdbfc784d3516e61a717_global.php(5820): IPS\Theme\_SandboxedTemplate->__call('userBar', Array) #3 /www/invision/system/Theme/SandboxedTemplate.php(56): IPS\Theme\Cache\class_core_front_global->globalTemplate('85d827977a59b0e...', '\n<div class='ip...', Array) #4 /www/invision/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(166): IPS\Theme\_SandboxedTemplate->__call('globalTemplate', Array) #5 /www/invision/system/Dispatcher/Standard.php(103): IPS\_Dispatcher->finish() #6 /www/invision/system/Dispatcher/Front.php(571): IPS\Dispatcher\_Standard->finish() #7 /www/invision/system/Dispatcher/Dispatcher.php(148): IPS\Dispatcher\_Front->finish() #8 /www/invision/index.php(12): IPS\_Dispatcher->run() #9 {main}

Found a typo:
bookmark_type_desc Public Bookmarks will be shown to overybody on your profile.<br>Private Bookmarks are only visible to you.
It should be everybody.
Thanks.

@Silnei L Andrade Yep, since installing the latest version we haven't seen any Chinese spam around here!

@Fosters I assume you were too busy with the holidays, but could you please take a look at the problem we are having here as described above? Thanks.

it is supporting batch processing, a background task is sending notifications in batches,. I'll take a look at this over christmas.
I see...maybe I am not using the app correctly? If I create a new custom notification, do I need to hit the "Send" button as I did, or do I just need to leave it and the app will automatically send the notification in batches?
-
When I try to send a notification to all our users (we have 600,000+ registered users), I get the following error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 172219888 bytes) in [protected]/system/Db/Db.php on line 546
I tried reducing the number of users by sending a notification only for people who visited our website in 2017, but saw the same error.
Clearly our PHP is limiting the process to 128 MiB and the process is using more than that.
Note that I tried to send the notification manually. I don't know if I configure the notification and don't send it, if your app has a task to send the notification in batches, on the background.
If your app doesn't have this feature (batching sending in the background), I suggest adding it.
As for security reasons I don't plan to increase the PHP memory limit above 128 MiB...
Thanks.

I do not think it is an easy thing to do.
Is this something you would be looking into? Please let me know, as if you don't think this is something you might add in the future, I will hire a developer to create this functionality for us. Thanks.
-
@Faqole This is an awesome idea. I will buy it later this week. But, off the bat, I have one suggestion. A per-usergroup default profile privacy setting. For instance, the default profile privacy for usergroup A could be "everyone" but the default profile privacy for usergroup B could be "no one (except the user and admins)". This would solve a particular situation we have in our community and that users complain about. Many thanks!
-
@Nathan Explosion Cool. Please tag me here when you have the new version up and I'll buy it!
-
@Nathan Explosion It would be great if it could also detect links that IPS converts to embbeded code (e.g., youtube links are converted to embbeded videos).
-
@Nathan Explosion I really liked the idea of your plugin. We face this problem of users not posting enough text and then complaining that we didn't understand his question. A nice addition would be preventing users from posting only a link (e.g. to prevent users from posting just a link without any supporting text).
-
@Fosters Awesome, I will buy it. The fact that the version number was still 1.0.0 confused me.
-
@Fosters I was checking this, and can you please confirm that you added the blocking for Chinese content? I see in the description that you added this, but since the version number is still 1.0.0, I got confused, plus you didn't confirm this here in the support topic. Please advise!

We have an interesting situation here that I need some advice on.
We disabled the traditional tags/prefixes from IPS, leaving AT&P active and with preset prefixes in certain forums. For example, in the "programming languages" forum the prefixes available are "C", "Python", "PHP", and so on. Live example:
http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/forums/forum/16-programação-web/
This works really well.
The problem is when someone posts a topic that is off-topic for that forum: the user chooses a random prefix just so he can post in that forum, and then we have move the topic to the correct place, but the prefix stays with the topic and no option for us to delete the prefix is available.
We need to find a way to remove the prefix in cases like this. Any suggestion?
Thanks!
Gabriel.

@motomac Nope. Still waiting.
-
Thanks, @Pete T for your prompt reply. Looking forward to have this fixed somehow.
-
@Pete T I have the 1.0.5 version installed here in our community, but on mobile view the "Topic Author" badge still covers part of the post header. Probably on mobile view the text "topic author" should be hidden, leaving only the star as badge.
E.g.: http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/forums/topic/1254379-h110-ou-b150m-qual-é-melhor/

That's going to be 'not a bug' on both parts, I'm afraid. Prefixes are tags internally, just special ones. That means a given member must be able to use tags in order to use prefixes.
Hum, I will open a topic with a suggestion for them to change this, then.
