Yes, it should float automatically. If it doesn’t work for you, something in your theme might override it. But it’s completely impossible to tell unless you provide a link where we can see it happening.
The code you showed in the first post also cannot work, since the image sits in the cCmsRecord_image container. Floating it INSIDE it won’t create a float in relation to the text.

    Feature suggestion?
This would help ensure delivery of the most important emails.  And cost less than forcing ALL emails including status updates and post alerts  to go though a formal service.

Sonya* got a reaction from sobrenome in Bug: Deleting Page database does not delete record image
When I delete a Page database via ACP, then the table for the records is just dropped:
/* Delete records */ \IPS\Db::i()->dropTable( 'cms_custom_database_' . $this->id, TRUE ); There is no handling for record images stored in the record_image column. The files are never deleted and are orphaned in /uploads forever.

You submit RSS like sitemaps, same area, they are just listed along with your sitemaps in the Google Webmaster.

I have run an experiment for over a month. I have increased the number of entries in one sitemap from 500 to 1500 and have added lastmod date to the sitemap index that contains the last modification date of the newest entry in the sitemap (and NOT the timestamp of sitemap generation). Result: there was a slight increase in page indexed by Google, BUT there was no change in organic search traffic.
For me it is not worth just increasing the number of pages in index if there is no influence on traffic. That's why I have given up to "optimize" the sitemap. Can somebody here give a prove that number of pages in Google index correlates with organic search traffic from Google? I mean the traffic is the goal at the end of the day and not the number of indexed pages.

This. When I see something go to _https://example.com/2-%E3%82%A2 it looks like spam for me. It looks dirty, it looks not serious for me. I cannot read, what this %E3%82%A2 mean, something harmful, something inappropriate? I believe it makes no difference for SEO though as Wikipedia uses it.

I had a vision. Imagine, there is an app called SuperWidgets. The app has custom templates for system widgets:
Recently Browsing with overlapping user avatars like in SuperTopics Who's online with overlapping user avatars like in SuperTopics Similar Content like SuperBlocks Activity Stream like SuperTimeline The app was submitted by @opentype in Marketplace, and I've bought it immediately. End of the vision. 🙃

Suggestion: templates for the Similar Content Widget (by tags) and Activity Stream Widget. Both default IPS templates look a bit ugly 😄 I wish there were SuperBlocks templates for them.

Sonya* got a reaction from GazzaGarratt in Is there a mobile app ?
Yes. But it has many bugs.
An app with branding and all the customizations is technically not feasible, I guess or requires tons of programmers. Right now: no customizations, no monetization, no branding. All IPS communities sit in one app like TapaTalk. To have an own app for your community only, you would have to go through Google and Apple approval process to add it to their stores. You, not IPS. It costs.
Another question: why do you need mobile app? If it is because of push notifications, they are integrated in 4.6 without mobile app. Any other reason, you would like to have mobile app? 🙂

Sonya* reacted to xtech in How can advertisers trust IPS Advertisement system?
@Sonya* , yes but the IPS advertisement system has some advantages:
it can "escape" adblockers because it is virtually a normal content block that is placed, so unless you use "standard ad formats" it will gets through adblockers performance It is integrated in IPS so users can buy directly at the site The only problem that i see with it is that the ad buyers can't track the performance (clicks or visualizations) of the ads they bought... of course you can use a tracking system and have them to check it outside IPS, but that is a extra hassle that users are not willing to have.
Duration period is an option, yes, but the user doesn't know if their ads are being seen and how many times they were seen. It is difficult to sell that for any potential buyer.

I have used it for some years. I have stopped because their code had responsiveness issues. Another issue was the slow performance at large projects. Self hosted was not enough. Cloud was too expensive. We have changed to Ad Manager.
The earnings for banner advertisements slowed down though. Paid walls, subscriptions, affiliates, writing and featuring content - this is where we are now 🙃
