teraßyte got a reaction from Guest in Four suggestions for 3.1
Also would be nice if the popup with the differences needs to be closed clicking on the close button because if you click by mistake outside it you need to click again compare differences. (probably you can make this change also in 3.0.1 instead of 3.1 :P )[*]A nice addition in ACP would be to make the same modular thing made for the groups also for the forums, I know a lot of mods out there adds settings to each forum and a system like the one used for the group permissions would help a lot modders.[*]Can you please add 2 more parameters ($lang_file and $app) in the getTemplate function of the hanEmail class? If we use an email template from another file we ned to load it before calling the function and if for any reason the check of the language set by the user fails the board loads the default file with the default language that of course won't have our custom email templates. For now I solved the problem writing my own getTemplate functions but honestly is a bit annoying that I need to copy/paste the same function just to change the template name (I think I have done the same thing for IP.Tracker if I don't mistake :P)[*]Now that you added the small icon to let us know which topic we are tracking in forum view can you also add a link to that image so we can unsubscribe from those topics without opening them one after one? :o (Maybe with some nice ajax code to not reload the page :D)
In the skin editor when you click the button "Compare Differences" the popup is too small, it should open with a bigger size like when you click on the green button on a template tab to work full screen on the template.

teraßyte got a reaction from Zepher in What needs to be done for 3.0.1
The ability in 3.0.1 to edit the hook access point without enabling IN_DEV mode would be perfect, so I won't need to release 5 different hooks for the shoutbox <_<

teraßyte got a reaction from tranceandy in Restrict groups that can give reputation points
I was searching a setting restrict certain groups to give out reputation points but I couldn't find any :ermm:
It is a must-have setting to have for a reputation system in my opinion :P

teraßyte got a reaction from The Old Man in Translating question
You should NEVER edit the cache_store table in any case.
Are you able to login in ACP or you get this error also there? If you are able to login then rebuild all the caches.

teraßyte got a reaction from beeman in IPS Driver Error, make it more clear
Well adding something like "If you are the administrator of this forum please check the error logged in the cgi file inside your cache folder" would at least help a bit I think :ermm:

teraßyte got a reaction from Amy T in Anyone miss the old IPB?
Same here, I never liked the old IPB 2 skin (this applies to both default and pro skins).

teraßyte got a reaction from Anonymous IPB User in IPS Driver Error, make it more clear
A lot of peoples still post something like "I get IPS Driver Error doing that, how can i solve it?"
And then every time the answer is "Look for the real error saved in a cgi file in the cache folder".
If that error is going to be displayed in that same way also in IPB 3 i suggest you to add a small line below it like "Real error is hidden for security purpose, to see it check the cgi file in the cache folder" or something similar anyway. That should stop a lot of useless topics with "IPS Driver Error" as title

teraßyte got a reaction from Michael.J in Change popups for Hook Export
I was going to export an hook and I had the popup open to select language bits, I was already done adding 10 language strings but I clicked by mistake out of the popup and it closed itself so I had to redo everything.
Can you please stop the popup being closed by clicking outside so we can close it only clicking on the close button?

teraßyte got a reaction from Michael.J in Editing hook settigs requires IN_DEV
Well, the best thing (in my opinion) is to show only the dropdowns to change if/foreach cycle and the other dropdown to selected the hook point of course when IN_DEV is not enabled.
When IN_DEV is enabled instead show everything as usual.

teraßyte got a reaction from Ikadon in CSS support for Hooks
Hooks already support templates but what about CSS files?
Adding CSS files manually in the hook package won't add them in DB and so you can't edit those files from ACP using the built-in editor, and using an FTP program to edit them defeats the purpose of the new IPB3 editor.

teraßyte got a reaction from Michael.J in Need Revisioning/Versioning in IPB !
And then everyone will enable it and their DB will grown infinitely in size because people won't read the notice that the option uses a lot of DB space :P

I was hoping that you implement this small change for 3.0.0 :(
Actually I have already rewritten the function on my own just for fun lol
static public function getCache( $keys ) { if ( is_string( $keys ) ) { if ( ! in_array( $keys, array_keys( self::$data_store ) ) ) { self::_loadCaches( array( $keys ) ); } return self::$data_store[ $keys ]; } elseif ( is_array( $keys ) && count( $keys ) ) { $toLoad = array(); foreach( $keys as $key ) { if ( ! in_array( $key, array_keys( self::$data_store ) ) ) { $toLoad[] = $key; } } self::_loadCaches( $toLoad ); return TRUE; } return FALSE; }
